It's that time of the week again, time for the kick in the pants. The idea is that having somewhere to report progress will spur you on to make some. So I'm posing the question to all of us here. Did you write this week? As we have been reminded in the past, writing for the purposes of this thread can mean just about anything you want. You did some editing? Report it here. Outlining, pre-writing or any other kind of prep work? Sure, that counts too. And, of course, writing new work always counts.

No new writing this week but a LOT of editing. I got one short story revised and out the door for a blog project with someone else. I'm really happy with how that turned out, especially since it was a photo prompt. I started revising another short story, but I think I need to actually burn it and start that one fresh, which I'm not able to do for at least a few days.

Most of the editing has been on the sequel to my published novel, Bound. Possession is almost ready to go off to my editor. I'm down to the last 5 chapters and anticipate having it done in the next few days, which is a couple ahead of my deadline. Yay! One step closer to publication.

I made a few story notes, had another plot bunny show up. I need a bigger bunny farm (aka brain) and more hours in every day. Yeah, I know, not terribly likely to happen, but that doesn't change my need for it.

That's it for me, really, other than a few blog posts.

How about you? Did you write?

-Julie

Managed to keep up my pace as I went back to work Thursday...Friday proved too crowded and I was too tired...then on Saturday, events so stressed me out that I couldn't do any more writing than a grievance statement about the whole thing. Sunday, things were settled (maybe), and, with the Memorial Day holiday in there, I got back to upping my production numbers by the end of the day. Fortunately I had a pretty good idea where I was going in what I was working on, so it was easy enough to pick up again.

As for "events"...well, I was walked off the floor (that's a preliminary to being fired) for daring to ask one particular supervisor a question. Matters were settled---in my favor---on Sunday, and I went back to work, unless the guy makes more trouble.

Yes, I wrote. A little revision to my query for THE BARD'S GIFT. A lot on MAGIC AND POWER (only two more chapters to go. Woo Hoo!) And a tiny bit of polish on my read-through of MAGE STORM.

Also, a couple of crits and two blog posts.

Sorry about the bad day at work Robert. Hope it goes better. I can empathize with ya, my therapy dept is now a bunch of young "clicky" girls that won't have anything to do with an "older therapist". So, it' gives me good empathy for my character in book 3 as she too is feeling like an outsider. Been editing chapter 13, but need to get on to 14. Hope all have a great weekend. Not enough time to write.

In addition to all that, a sore throat I've had for a couple of days seems to have morphed into a cold. So I might not be keeping up with my intended pace...

Yep, I did.

On two stories at work and revising one of my novels(finally).

Redoing parts of chapter Two of "Two Struggles" Finding it hard to know where to put background info. In fact I reached a spot about my MC's current Mentor. He was a Mage working for the Secret Service and now is working for a mysterious boss. I want to say a couple of things about him but not sure where, I think it breaks up things too much where I have it.

Plus various notes, posts, E-mails, etc.

A crit or two also.

And a note or three Here

4,000 words... enough to max out on Snapper's challenge.
