Strategies for efficient composition, methods that develop an inspiration into a workable narrative from plan to implementation to raw draft to refined draft and on to publication I've long struggled to establish. Part planned and part intuited, melded and proportioned together, as suited to each composition phase's needs, that for me is an intellectual knowledge that lacks aesthetic function realization; that is, more than a plan and direction, a passionate second nature that leads to a narrative all but composing itself.

The magic feeling of overcoming composition hurdles, as if like the fabled muse complements composition, such as restored lost passion when a narrative plan is too deliberately worked; doubt, of course, and confusion about direction that block progress; not knowing fully enough what a narrative is "really," actually about though having a full sketch of the tangible though superficial action; and, likewise, deep mental composition's anxieties, today -- I had an epiphany of what I sought.

Ah hah! That is that a moral truth discovery is a stepstone toward full-realization appreciation, that the sequence begins at the start with development of a personal misapprehension, related to social and moral and personal responsibility and sensitivity.

Mastery of that principle, challenging, to say the least, yet that mental composition process develops a narrative's tangible, surface action to a fine how do you do, though then with all that entails in mind, a symphonic synergy of nonconscious, subconscious, and conscious minds then can evaluate for and determine, at last, what a narrative is actually about, before even a first word enters the proverbial page.

Then the draft unfolds, as like a sunflower's blossom, from well-planned preparation and a realization of what a narrative is actually about. That latter appreciation's benefit is its focusing influence that enhances unity of all micro and macro features, and avails a basis for emblem, symbol, and irony representations that suit the actual theme and meaning of pieces, parts, parcels, and wholes.

Of course, resistance to mental composition and in-depth plan impede actualization of their contributions. Of course, doubt and confusion of those processes' benefits arise, Of course, those approaches could and do diminish passion, escalate doubt and confusion, and interminably sideline projects. Yet, and here's the epiphany's underlying value, that plan and intuit processes' synergies benefit from the speed with which thought -- nonconscious, subconscious, and conscious -- efficiently processes input, and more efficiently than typewriting, and from influences of acquired and mastered second nature knowledge routines running in the background. Like how, what, why, etc., intangible, though first-order substantively, moral features influence an otherwise tangible, if superficial action.

This is celebration vent, not rant. Anyway, Ah-loving-hah!

As Damon Knight mentions, you've found out how to communicate with Fred. Congratulations.
