Welcome to this week's Novel Support Group (NSG). Anyone can join. If you're new, tell us a bit about who you are and what project you are working on. Feel free to update the NSG Work in Progress thread with your current projects. Although we can report on any number of things, here is a list of suggestions (suggestions welcomed).

What were your goals last week and did you accomplish them?
Describe what you worked on.
Set goals for next week.
Did you learn something during this week?

Here is a list of things that you can do each week as we work on our novels (suggestions welcomed).

World Building
Relevant research

As for me:

Last Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS): Wait to hear back on the request coming off of Pitch Wars. Consider what to do next if (as expected) the answer is no.
Easy goal. [Smile]

BLOOD WILL TELL: Figure out how I want to proceed on a couple of ideas coming out of IndieReCon.
Some. [Smile]

BLOOD IS THICKER: Let it cool before going back for the next round.
Another easy one. [Smile]

THE BARD'S GIFT: Finish the final revision pass. Start polishing edit. Try to come up with a map. The goal is to have it ready to start querying early next month.
Yep. I've even sent three queries, already. I'm back in the game! Wahoo! [Big Grin]

MAGE STORM: Wait for feedback.
Continuing.

MAGIC'S FOOL: On hold.
Off hold, but not on the front burner. [Smile]

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week. [/qb][/QUOTE]Next Week's Goals:

FIRE AND EARTH (formerly known as SEVEN STARS):
Wait to hear back on the request coming off of Pitch Wars. Start thinking about cover art. If the answer is no again, I'm going to epbub.

BLOOD WILL TELL:
Figure out how I want to proceed on a couple of ideas coming out of IndieReCon.
I'm going to test out a couple of things in the next week or two.

BLOOD IS THICKER:
Let it cool before going back for the next round. This one may get to participate in the marketing goal for its sister (BLOOD WILL TELL) above.

THE BARD'S GIFT:
One final read-through. Send out three queries.

MAGE STORM:
Wait for feedback.

MAGIC'S FOOL:
Edit the handful of chapters I've done. The character voice is too young.

OTHER:
Update my blog twice a week.
"Magic and Power", probably a novella that I just started.

Prepared a couple of chapters of the Brull novel for critique.

Working steadily on "Iceborn," and at about 130k, and growing. Still haven't gotten to the halfway point on my outline, but I'm seeing room for trimming the outline now.
