Anyone interested in a flash fiction contest?First line has to be:
"It was around two-thirty when I heard the ansible ring in the kitchen."
And somewhere in the story, a couple of guys must bust in with guns blazing.
The idea is based on tnwilz's "flash-novella".http://www.hatrack.com/forums/writers/forum/Forum11/HTML/003092.html
I'll offer to administer it and not write a story myself, using a set of rules based on those that skadder used for the contest just before Christmas.
If you're interested, please say 'yeah' or some such in the next few days.
Cheers, Pat

I've never done flash fiction before, but I'd be willing to give it a try--it would probably be really good for me. Trouble is that I'm going to be gone for a week or two. I'll try and snag a computer at some point to see if this idea goes somewhere.

Depends on the timelines. I've got a lot of projects in the works.
