For this challenge, you may use the trigger literally or just let it give birth to new ideas.
For those who accept, you will have two weeks to complete your story. I'll check monday to see who has put their name in.
To join the challenge, you must simply type "I'm in." as a response.
Rules:
No more than 2000 words (word processor count). it may be as short as you can make feel complete.
If you enter, you must critique. The point to every challenge is to get a submitable story--this helps the critiquer and the writer to notice where they need improvement. You must critique at least 3 stories.
The trigger will be announced on Monday 2/2 and all entries will be due on 2/15 (No excuses, and I know Valentines Day shows up there, but that might be a worthy theme. Nobody will know the trigger before Monday (except me...bwahahahahah).
As always, if there's sex or excessive violence, a warning should be applied.
Once all stories are done, send them (rtf) to me (with your Hatrack nick and "Trigger Story" in the subject line) and I will post the first thirteens. After they're all posted, feel free to critique and vote on the hooks.
Then, I'll send an rtf to each contestant with all of the competitors entries (sans the names), return them when you have loosely critiqued all and line critiqued three.

If the trigger gets to me, and if I can find the time without compromising the story I'm writing for the Witch o' Words sudden fiction contest, I'll be in. Can't promise though.

I won't be an entrant, which is why I'm taking the entries and distributing them with the info wiped off to the contestants. I have to know who'se writing what to get your stories and critiques abck to you and keep track of 1st 13s.
