I wasn't sure where best to put this for everyone to see, I thought this would be a good place to start.

If you have older posts with links from before the forum updated and you want to update those links without a whole bunch of legworking searching for the correct thread you had before, this shortcut should help you:

Old Links look like this:

http://www.hatrack.com/forums/writers/forum/Forum1/HTML/001372.html

Note the Forum Number (1 in this example) and the thread number (001372 in this example)

When you edit a post to update a link, you can copy the following example (or copy the URL in your browser address bar) and make the following changes:

http://www.hatrack.com/cgi-bin/ubbwriters/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=X;t=XXXXXX;p=0&r=nfx

F= the forum nuber from above
T= the thread number from above
P= the page number of the thread if you want to link to something other than the beginning of the thread

So it should look like this;

http://www.hatrack.com/cgi-bin/ubbwriters/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=001372;p=0&r=nfx

As far as I can tell this should work for updating any/all of the old style links.
