We've got M&M's, egg nog, and chocolate on the first page of threads, so why not another food thread?
What are your favorite pizza toppings?
(bearing in mind, of course, that anyone who has played role-playing games with anyone else will have no toppings in common whatsoever)
Mine are artichoke hearts and mushrooms. I'm also rather partial to pizza with spinach on top. Any combination of those three toppings makes me very happy.

Sourkraut and canadian bacon make a surprisingly good combination. When we first got together my wife ordered this all the time, and I made no end of fun of her for it. Then I tried it, and proceeded to become addicted.

Jalapeno pepper and pineapple is good for those days when you feel like being different.
And one of the local companies (I think they're not a chain) makes an awesome Feta-licious pizza. That's Glass Nickel, for anyone in the area reading this.

I'm an everything girl: pepperoni, ham, sausage, green pepper, onion, black olive, crushed red pepper, and pineapple. Plain old Hawaiian is good too.

I always thought pineapple on pizza was weird, but I tasted pizza with pineapple a few weeks back, and it's surprisingly good.

Just cheese. We usually end up with something else (like sausage or pepperoni) and I take the extra stuff off.

I'll have to agree with those mentioning Hawaiian pizza: that's a taste I always thought I would hate, but once I tried it? Yum!

I have to partly disagree with you, Scott R.
Although I do agree the crust, cheese, and sauce are very important, I think which toppings appeal to people is also important.
anyway my favorite toppings in descending order are:
1: Bacon (NOT canadian) 2: black olives 2: mushrooms (not a typo, they are tied) 4: ham 5: pepperoni 6: chicken 7: a bit of peppers and onions, not too much though.

My favorite pizza: first you start with pepperoni. Then you add sausage and canadian bacon. Then onions and olives and tomatoes. Finally, parmesan cheese on top.

For me sauce is just one of those necessary evils that go on a pizza. My most oft-heard complaint about any pizza chain is that they add too much sauce. Blech. I just put the barest amount to cover the crust and leave it at that.
Though I do make a really nice alfredo chicken pizza. Mmmmmm...in that case, the more sauce the better.
Aside from that, my favorite topping is definetely pepperoni. And I love Pizza Hut's lazer-cut pepperoni that's nice and cruncy when it's baked.
And the mozzerella has to melt well, which means it must not be low-fat. Small price to pay. Parmesan is good too.
Somewhere in there has to be cheese. Lots of cheese. Talking about more cheese than dough amounts of cheese. Baked just enough to brown the bottom of the dough and the top of the cheese. With garlic butter. (I actually managed to make a consistent version of this, and unofficially add it to the Cici's menu where I used to work. 'Twas called Baron's Bread, and took many a year off the lives of many a customer and employee.)

garlic, spinach and tomato is probably my favorite with pepperoni as a close second. I also like green olives and I haven't met many people who do that. I'm not much for other meats, although I can tolerate sausage. Veggies and mushrooms are good, but not packed on. I like all kinds of cheeses, too. Feta, parmasean, a good italian blend. Tom likes cheddar for color

Cheese is fine, especially if it's NY-style. (Alas that I live in Missouri now, and can never find decent NY-style pizza here, oh sure they TRY and make NY-style pizza here but it's just not the same, it's like they're trying to fake a Brooklyn accent...)
Toppings = bell peppers, onions, pineapple.
Worst topping I ever had = tuna fish. Ordered a slice by accident while in Morocco. Ewwwwwwww.

Cheese, though I really like cheese on bread, with no sauce, garlic sauce (like papa johns cheese sticks) or alfredo. Not a huge fan of tomato sauce.

Quattro formagi (done with blue cheese, buffalo mozarella and two others I don't remember)
Actually, anything with buffalo mozarella makes me very happy. Also any combination of mushroom, proscuitto, green capsicum (pepper?), baby spinach, rocket (arugula?), artichoke hearts and Italian sausage is bound to impress.
Oh, and I love love love a chicken and potato pizza a local italian resteraunt makes. Mmmm.

If you ever have a pepperoni pizza, instead of sinning against your tastebuds, with bland, thin, pathetic pre-sliced crap, go out and buy Hormel's pepperoni, smaller radius than you're used to but cut it as thick as you like. And trust me, if God ate pepperoni pizza, He's eat it with Hormel's pepperonis on it.
I have to say, however, that the best pizza I've ever eaten was homemade by to of my friends. They used sourdough bread for the crust, but it wasn't too thick, and they topped them with all sorts of yummy veggies and chicken and cheese. One of the best combinations was acutally red onion and fried sweet potato... sounds kinda weird, but it was amazing.

Cheese. Lots of cheese. A local pizza restaurant has this four cheese and garlic pizza that is to die for.
But if I'm not having a cheese pizza, I like lots and lots of veggies on them. Olives, mushrooms, tomatoes, onions, garlic...sometimes artichoke hearts. Also pineapple.
I don't usually like meat on my pizza, though chicken is sometimes good.
MMMmmm...I think I'm going to have pizza for dinnner.

I love chicken and pinapple pizza. Great stuff. In second would be California Pizza Kitchen's BLT pizza, suprisingly very good. And, of course, you just can't beat a plain piece of pizza.

I like thin crust or hand tossed pizza depending on my mood and the toppings. Good toppings include: Tomatoes, onion, green pepper, cheese. I generally only like one topping on my pizza. There was a pizza at the place I worked that had no sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, and tomatoes. It was yummy.
