This gent on these forums which I am about to link has seen ROTK and is answering everyone's favorite spoiler questions. His name's Marty. So, needless to say, this is a 56 page post of Tolkein dorks such as myself simply lining up to beg for info. If you don't want to hear everything that happens, don't click on this.

I didn't think it was possible for me to get any more excited about this movie. I was wrong. [Big Grin]

I think it's funny that people are worried about spoilers. If you've read the book there really aren't going to be any spoilers. You'll just be so thrilled that it seems to be as good as we've all hoped!

There are plenty of spoilers, especially if you've read the book, because now you're worrying that they won't do the book justice.

EDIT: also, it sounds like Eowyn is REALLY going to kick ass. Pardon my french.

Should not have done that. I nearly wet myself, burst into tears, did a jig, and had an orgasm all on one page.

Curse them! We hates them! We wants the movie now, Precious!

Well, besides the fact that they apparently cut out every single one of my favorite scenes from the book, it should be okay.

I'm sure PJ stayed up nights thinking, ok what can I cut now that will piss Tom off.

Nothing like going into a movie already knowing you are going to hate it.

Oh, I'm pretty certain I won't hate it. Jackson's a good filmmaker, and his art direction is wonderful -- and I enjoy war movies. I'm sure I'll be entertained.

I think it's a shame that the movie won't be any more than that, but I've always said that RotK would be the hardest to film without hacking it to pieces; Jackson obviously agreed.

I think these pictures are really cool, and I'm posting them here so I don't have to follow three links to find them again. Spoilers of Gollum:

The AJC film guy really liked it, too.

Does anyone have links to early bird reviews?

So Smeagol and Deagol were redneck hobbits?

they were riverfolk, so I guess "redneck hobbits" describes them pretty well. I'm insanely curious to find out what Smeagol's voice is like before he finds the ring. I mean, it can't be all gollum-sounding, can it?

SPOILER

Isn't it cool how the moth comes back at the black gates? I think that's super awesome.

Do we really need spoiler warnings when there's one on the thread title?
