Cool. We should all go to one of her shows as a hatrack meet. She should be able to say hi after the show...

I'd say hit up one of the Manchester, NH dates as it's only 45 min from you Boston folks and we can hang at my place after or go out to dinner or whatever.

Though, I'd like to voice a preference toward the Saturday 7pm show. Cause I'm teaching trapeze earlier in the day and I might be teaching another class on the Sunday.

Saturday July 10 at 7pm, indeed. I will be there. So are we meeting before the show and doing dinner? Or some such?

Yes, why don't we do that. What time would be good for everyone? We can meet at my apartment and head off for dinner. But I think the travellers need to set said time.

oh I think I can make it there whenever is best. Since the show starts at 7, we should probably hit dinner around 5 at the latest. Or we could just bring some foods and picnic near the tent site at 5:30'ish.
I wanna hear from all those Boston/Providence/Greater-Mass folks out there. Paul? Bok? Martha? Paul, you could drag your roommate along as well
Syn, would you need a ride? If Mike and I end up picking Martha up, we'd be hitting Boston area.

Hmmm... 15 dollars is a lot for me... But... I'll consider, as the time is not a Broke Fortnight.

it's a big drive up, Myr. Of course you can come to Providence and drop off your car to come with us. If you want, you can crash at my place that night and drive back Sunday. I have a new apartment =)

I just saw the Smirkus show yesterday afternoon. Good stuff. Talked to Dragon briefly during intermission and told her to expect some hatrackers next weekend.

*kicks Bok and Paul for being total dweebs* Oh well. What can you do with dweebs.
Still haven't heard from Kris, but Mike and I are bringing a couple people up. Kwea, is it too far for you?

Not too far, just not a good time for JenniK and me. We just got back from MI last night at 3 am, after a hellish 19 hour drive; damn Canadians have no concept of traffic management...lol!
I am probably working this weekend, and since I had 10 days off for vacation I can't afford to take any more time off right now. JenniK is working too, so I think we will pass.
I really wanted to go too, but real life sucks sometimes.
Dragon, I'm not sure how to wish you luck, as break a leg may not be appropriate for a circus... Best wishes, and I'm sure you will be great.
Thanks for the invite though! Hope to see you all at the WMASS Picnic (Aug. 21st) soon!

My daughter, in particular, would love this. We always take our son to see/hear musicians, but she has no interest in it, except for Donna the Buffalo, Kiss, Aerosmith, Avril, and American Idol folks. Her thing is drama and musical type productions. So, she would love this circus. My son as well, and if they could get Dragon's signature, they would be flying high!

You should definitely try and come. Your kids will be so amazed at Circus Smirkus. And they can meet most of the troupe after the show.

OK, we're planning on getting to Manchester around 5ish and going directly to the box office to get tickets. Cause I'm dumb and I waited too long to get them online or by phone. Then I guess we'll (hang around|eat food) until it's time to find our seats.
Oh, and I'm sad that all y'all who can't make it tomorrow can't make it.

We'll probably figure out tonight what kind of foods we're bringing tomorrow. Egg salad, chicken salad, bread, fruit.. something along those lines. You're free to eat any of our stuff, Mack, or bring your own.
If you'd like, Mike can call you when we get near town so you don't have to guess when we'll be there. e-mail or AIM him your #. (eeew, AIM as a verb)

There are still shows tomorrow if you want to swing by, they're at 11 and 4, and none of the shows today were even close to sold out so I'm sure you can get tickets and good seats at the door...

It was an incredible show. I saw Big Apple circus this last week too, and Smirkus was a much better show. Dragon did some awesome juggling! We got to say 'hey' during intermission, and found half the Smirkos (including Dragon) hard at work doing conditioning exercises! Whew.
There's a lot of energy and talent. The only downside is that the mosquitos came out in full force for the last ten minutes of the show. But hey, small price to pay. And from Providence, it was a quick (hour and a half) ride to see them. If anyone else from New England wants to see them this summer, I'm sure we'd be willing to meet you there.

Maybe Sunday, Dragon. A lot depends on cash flow. Gas is so freaking expensive that I actually have to think before even going to see my grandmother in Newburyport. We are headed out for an expensive five day festival experience next week, so we have to save every penny. It is our family vacation.
My kids would love to see you, though, and I will try hard to get there.

Too far then, unless I ahve the whole weekend off. It does happen, sometimes.
After spending 19 hours in the car on the way back from MI last week, we aren't really keen on long rides anytime soon...
