I'll borrow an extra mask, glove, and jacket from my club. I also have my plastron, my own jacket, mask, and two foils. So we're cool.

Jenni and I are going up thee at 10:30 am to set up with a few friends and family members.
I guess the party starts at 11 or so, but wuill be all day into the evening.
I will post directions later tonight....if you click on the linky on the first page I think Look Park has directions on its web site.
The weather looks like it might work out OK...it was suppose to be rainy today, but was beautiful (if a bit muggy) for most of the day.
Great news, Suneun, I was hoping Mike would come a well.
I'll post more later tonight.
Liz, are you back from AZ yet? If you are going to be late to the picnic I would like to get together and borrow your tent to set up early, if you don't mind...
We are in site 15 A,B,and C...right behind the picnic store and to the right of the water park.
When you get off 91, head straight across route 9, to the next lights.....that is route 5. Go straight past route 5 as well, and go to the end of the road. Look park is right there where the raod dead ends, but you have to go left then immedatly right to get in the entrance.
Once in the park you will get to a booth. It's $4 a car to enter, but once you are in you can xome and go as you want for the rest of the day.
You have to go to the right....it's a one-way street that runs through the park. Right by the tennis courts is an info shack if you have trouble finding the site.
Go past the lake and after the bend you go down past the paddle boats. Once you see the palying field on your left you are close to the site.
There is a picnic store on your right, with a parking lot right before it. That is the area you want to go to. Parking is busy sometimes, but we will have a cart for people to carry gear. Just come down to the site to get it.
I'll put us small signs. If you have to ask the info shack tell them it's the Brill/Hatrack picnic, on site 15 a,b, and c.

I am back from AZ. It looks like rain. The screen house is a go if we need it, but I think the pavilion collection is the best idea. I also have a bunch of cheapo ponchos I can bring.
Since I just got back, I am unsure of what I am bringing, but after being in AZ, I am thinking something Mexicanish. I can bring my camp stove and a few things of propan if people want to boil or heat stuff. Just bring it in a pan, and bring a plastic bag to put the dirty pan in.
Sounds good to me, but the pavillion might not be necessary (or availible)...it was supose to rain all day today, and not a sprinkle was here. Same thing happened twice this week.
I think the weathermen see all the clouds coming from the hurricanes and forecast rain, but by the time it gets here there are just hazy clouds left.
I will try to keep an eye on it, but it's a crapshoot now.
One way or another, the picnic is on. Even if it rains, it will probably be a sprinkle, and won't last long at all....
I will chek on the pavillions tommorrow before work, though.
E-Mail me at KweaSr@msn.com , and I'll give you my phone number so we can talk tommorrow, OK?
Anyone can e-mail me if they want my cell # in case they are lost on the way....

Does anyone play guitar? I might have Aidan bring his, and he likes to do the jam thing with experienced musicians. (He is good-teach him the rythm part and he is good to go)

I can improv pretty well, but I am rusty. I haven't palted in public (other than my wife) since I played form my Grandmas funeral, about 6 years ago.

Sarahdipity, What/where is "C/S?" You are in Amherst, right? And I am going through all the dchools and am unable to think of a "C.S."
Everyone, My husband has a bunch of extra live music cds and I will bring them and hand them out. All sorts of music, but mostly roots-rock, old time, and folksie stuff.
I was planning on losing weight for this event. In my usual procrastinating fashion, I now have a little over twenty-four hours to lose about fifty pounds.
Mack, I can give you directions from Route 2 if you want. not sure if Kwea would know those. What time are you coming? You ARE coming, right?

Yeah, I probably would, but that's because I have an Amherst native as my co-pilot (my fiancee ). It'd be more direct for mack to take RTE. 2, but I don't know how easy it would be.

Bok, I think she could just go all the way to 91 and go down from there, but the route from Rte 2 to 202 to 9 is not that hard. Which would be faster, the Amherst way or the Greenfield way?

Rte. 9 gets bogged down once you hit Amherst proper (and you have to know the area a bit, IMO)... I-91 may be the best, except the roads to get to it may be slow up in NH/VT.

I'm coming, I'm coming, don't worry. Nathan is with me, and my fencing gear. I'm thinking probably noon-ish, maybe closer to one. I don't want to get up at the ass crack of dawn.

According to JenniK, who watched the weather report this morning, it is suppose to sprinkle in the morning, but clear up and be beautiful for the rest of the day.
It seems that most people (Liz, Mack and Nate, my family) so far are showing up after 1, but JenniK and I, along with some of our friends, will be setting up as early as 11 MA.

Liz, I didn't get the e-mail this morning/afternoon, and I am working at 1, at the Holyoke Mall JC Pennys, so I am leaving to get a haircut and then go straight to work.
I don't get out until about 10 PM, and I don't know if you want me to call you back that late.
Are you still planning on getting to the picnic at about 1 pm? I wanted to set up the tent before that, but I don't know how we could handle that...
I am trying to arrange to be there earlier so I can set up the screen house. Just have to do some shuffling of children.
10 might be too late. It might not. I am still on Arizona time, so I will probably crash earlier than usual.

I am not bringing my son after all, due to an emergency birthday party. This will involve me bringing them both to the party early, coming to Look Park, and then leaving at about 4 or 5 to take my daughter to a sleepover.
Kwea, I will call you in the AM. We can set up the screen house, and if it is yucky weather, you can keep it, and I can come and get it at your house, or we could meet somewhere like Big Y on rte 33 in S. Hadley.

If you do that, I can always drive it up to you on Monday, or even this Sunday...I don't work until Tuesday.
We will be up at about 8:30 or ( AM, and are palnning on leaving the house at 9:45. i have to stop and get some ice and things, so I will be there at about 10:30.
I am bringing friends to help set it up, so if you have to drop it and run we can do it, and take it down...if it is needed at all.

Wow! This is one of the most interesting storms I've been in since coming to MA.
I'm guessing this might mean that it'll clear up by tomorrow because it's really really coming down right now. Wow I think that bolt almost hit my house. *hides*

Might I say that, regardless of the dodgy weather, I am still most jealous? Yes, I know I was at KamaCon last weekend. It wasn't enough. Plus, this weekend I am helping a friend move. Bah, humbug.

Hey, for any of those who haven't left yet, is there any way you could bring and let me borrow a copy of your windows XP home cd?
No, I'm not burning it. Yes, I have a license.
Nathan broke my gateway. I can't find one of my system restore CDs (it would be the one with XP on it) and stupid gateway won't let me have a new one. They emailed me with "you'll have to buy a new copy of XP."
I already have a license for my current one! It's just broke!
Anyway, John said I can repair it legally with someone else's XP cd since I have a license and I'm just doing repairs, not a full install onto another computer.
So, if anyone could help, I'd be much obliged.

Sowwy, mike and I are leaving in about 20 mins but we are both Apple users.
Myr is picking us up around 11 am, and we'll be there around 1 pm or so.
Perhaps we should adjourn to an indoor site if it's indeed true that it will be raining all day long with no breaks.
