That part of the book made me sad . They seem to have toned it down for the movie though, so the amazing bouncing ferret isn't bouncing off the flagstones :\.

I so have no problem with Malfoy being bounced off tiles.
*SPOILER ALERT*
I MEAN IT!
Especially given Moody's eventual identity - no good guys doing anything bad, just bad guys raggin on each other. heehee

That was amazing! Moody is great, although I agree, there should be more bouncing. Yay for Harry Potter!

This is my hope, as well. I mean, it seems Rowling has laid the pipe for the redemption of Draco, and I will be sad if she doesn't do something with it.

Hmm, the movie Moody doesn't look anything at all like I pictured Moody, but I also can't think how he could change so he wouldn't feel wrong to me.
I also really like the way Malfoy's grown up. I tend to think of him as I'm reading as a little boy, even in the 6th book. The reminder that he's not was really good for me.

I don't like Moody's eye. It just doesn't work for me. And it isn't at all how I pictured it. Its just......different.

He's too heavy set. Not "old" looking enough. His hair is wrong. There are other things, too.
The voice is the worst part. I can't stand Snape for the same reason-- his voice isn't the way I hear it when I read the book!

No, Snape is perfect, I haven't watched the clip yet, so I'm not sure about Moody, but Snape has been perfect (the first movie came out about 4 months after I'd read the books, so it was right there, perfect).

Not for me. Snape is also too big and his voice is way too deep to my mind.
Maybe part of it is your timeline-- you'd probably already seen previews when you were reading. I read the first one several years before the movie came out.

Possibly, but I'm not sure I had seen previews. I read all four books in a period of three weeks. And you can't deny the actor is really good, even if he isn't how you view him.

Oh, he's good. He just reminds me more of Marilyn Manson than Snape. It's totally a voice thing.
I prefer the books over the movies anyway, so it's not like it's hurting me. I can just read the books and imagine him however I want. So there.
