I want to get an idea how many people know something about themselves. But I don't want the results skewed by people who don't answer because they don't want to admit that they don't know. So you don't have to read the following question, but if you do read it, please answer.
* * * * * * Okay, ready? * * * * Here goes... * * * * On which day of the week were you born?
I'm just curious how many people have this piece of useless trivia rattling around in their heads. Someone just asked me, and I realized that I knew, although I hadn't thought of it in so long that it surprised me.

I think it was a Wednesday. But I just checked, and it was a Thursday. So, I guess I did not know. But now I do!

Tuesday, but only because I remember when I turned 11 (I think it was 11) my mom made a comment to me about how she read that your 11th birthday is on the same day that you were born on. She said that today was a Tuesday and told me I was born on a Tuesday. Otherwise, I wouldn't know.

I know it was a Thursday, because my mom has told me a number of times, and I've never really cared. But look! In the end it payed off, because I was able to answer your question.
Mostly Thursdays so far. Everyone knows Thursday-born babies are the best.

I believe I was born on a Monday. And after double checking, looks like I'm right.
I only know this because of a porcelain doll I had that was "Monday's Child" (from the poem) and I remember my Mom telling me that I was a Monday's child.

gaal, I don't think it would always be the same age because of leap years and stuff, but 11 would be close.
Whenever my birthday is on Monday it's Martin Luther King day, so I think I knew that way. Also it's the date president's are inaugurated (not a happy birthday in 05).

I just looked at the calendar in the "Date and Time Properties" box on my computer and ran it back to the correct month and year.

Huh. This is weird. According to Valentine's link my 11th birthday was on a Wednesday. According to the calendar on my computer, it was a Tuesday. I was born March 27, 1990, which was definitely a Tuesday. But what day was March 27, 2001?

Val's link gives you the day of the week for 1901, not 2001, so it's whatever your calender says I'm sure.

Well, march 27th 2005 was on a sunday. That means in 2004 it was on saturday, 2003 on thursday, 2002 wed, 2001 tuesday.

Edit: in response to GaalDornick's post a few up
edit again: sarah's (lucy hummer) explanation may be correct, instead
Definitely a Tuesday. The calendar on Valentine's link fails to take into account the exception to the exception to the every four years is a leap year rule, I suspect. Basically, ever four years is a leap year, except every year divisible by 100, except every year divisible by 400.
So the online calendar would be a day of the week off.

my 11th was yes, because it was the year clinton was inaugurated for the second time, and we went to a hotel, because it was martin luther king day, so yeah.

Lucy, I think everyone who wasn't born on a leap year or who's 11th birthday wasn't on a leap year has their 11th birthday on the same day they were born.

I have been told numerous times, but I cannot recall really. My best guess would be Monday or a Wednesday, leaning towards Wednesday.
EDIT: Well, it was a Monday. But I did have some idea.
Monday's child is fair of face, Tuesday's child is full of grace, Wednesday's child is full of woe, Thursday's child has far to go. Friday's child is loving and giving, Saturday's child works hard for a living, But the child born on the Sabbath Day, Is fair and wise and good and gay.

I thought I was born on Monday, but I wasn't sure. so I called KrabbyPatty to check, and it was, indeed, Monday.

Checks thread. I wonder if it's really statistically true that more babies are born on Mondays and less on Fridays? We need a bigger sample.

I don't like that poem much. Either that or my birth day. Everyone but Wednesday seems decent. Ah well..

No... I meant that the poem made Wednesday out to seem.. worse than the others. I don't take "full of woe" to be a positive statement.

I was always amazed growing up when people *didn't* know what day of the week they were born. Or exactly what time of day. My mother made such a big deal out of it - she would tell me I wasn't really 5 (or 6 or 7, but 5 is when I first remember her making a big deal out of it) until 9 pm.
I have an awful lot of useless trivia bouncing around in my brain.

The "Wednesday's Child is full of woe" line always made me so sad. It became something of a self-fulfilling prophecy for me, I'm afraid.
