I think the past couple of years more than adequately demonstrate that a determined populace, including, hypothetically, that of the US, could defend itself from the US government.

AHEM! there is one thing that is weird about saying that the US could defend itself from the government. Its a secret but i'll tell you...
(U.S.A. citizens make up the government)
That is why there isnt all sorts of revolt, your going to revolt against your own neighbor because americans make up the american government and have equal say, unlike many other countries. I dont like the way the US government is going but its still one heck of a lot better than most.
