Does anyone know how to pronounce Han Fei-tzu and aiua (I know there's an accent there, but I don't know how to do it with this computer)? Thanks.

I've always pronounced them [HAHN FEHT SU] and [EYE WAH], but none of that is official.

I thought Card told us at EnderCon it was pronounced "Eye-OO-Ah" - which is how I'd always pronounced it [Razz]

I always pronounce them AH-WEE and HAHN FEHT SU, though those extra H's seem a bit pretensious. [Razz]

Han (long a like in father) Fe-i (pronounced: e like a in lake and i like e in meet)Tsu (long u) and A-i-u-a (Long a like in father, i pronounced like e, u like the oos in smooth, short a. All vowels spoken seperately. That's how I remember it from the audiobook.

In Xenocide, at the beginning of the book it said that Han Fei Tzu was Han (as in lawn) fay (as in play) and soo (as in doodle). I don't know if the next part is right, but I always said ah-wah for auia. Couldn't be sure...

Are you sure the enemy gate isn't up this this time,I mean times change, so why can't the position of the gate change as well?

Homecoming was notorious for bad pronunciation. After a while I just ended up calling them "NAFEE" "ELEMAK" for short. Saved a lot of trouble. [Roll Eyes]

Well, I would THINK that the gate would stay the same direction. Ender would be ashamed...tsk tsk...ah well. Ooh, question. Does anyone know what the pronunciation is for "ua lava"? Remember in Children of the Mind when Wang-Mu and Peter find out about the studying of Ua Lava and it also means "enough already". Is it "wah lava"? That is how I always said it.
