I was walking through the BYU Bookstore yesterday, and I saw a sign that said OSC is doing a signing there on Wednesday, September 14th at 3:00!
I noticed that this event is not listed on the calendar here, and my feeble attempts at searching to see if anyone had already announced it were unsuccessful. Forgive me if I'm being repetitive and someone has already mentioned it. But this is so exciting! I was so upset when OSC came to Salt Lake a matter of *days* before I was coming back for school, and now it doesn't matter!
Anyone up for a get-together after the signing?

Where, at the Wilkinson Center snack bar? It's not as awful as it was when I was a student there ... but they don't have the lime milkshakes anymore, either.
Oh, wait. you weren't inviting me. You're inviting people who aren't still sitting there signing books.
Just for that, I'll sneeze on your book.
As for the event not being listed - that's wrong. Just WRONG.

You should go there on a Game day, then I can meet you before or after the game and tell you how I believe I could write one very, very good "Ender's Game" screenplay if you'd read it, or at least the first scene or two.

I'd invite you, but I won't even be able to come to this one. But don't worry—I'll put "get lime milkshakes with Scott Card" high up on my to-do list.

I'm sorry Oobie, that's too bad about Portland... ...if only you would have been in San Diego! I remember scrolling down the tour dates schedule crossing my fingers just hoping OSC would come to my city, and it turns out I got to see him three times!
Once at a book store and twice at Comic-Con International, I could not believe my luck, oh, and mr_porteiro_head, going to see OSC twice within one month does not make you a stalker, I attended THREE of his events within FOUR days, just for the fun of it- that and Comic-Con is freakin' amazing! (If any fraction of you is a geek at heart it's definetly worth going.)
That's funny reading about lime milkshakes when I'm eating lime salsa.
