That's the first time I've seen a detailed description of this book. It sounds really cool.

(And yes, I have been living under a rock for the better part of a year.)

Card actually is what most Republicans would call a socialist. He dislikes free market capitalism, so I think both sides in the book with have their problems. Actually, it sounds like there will be at least 3 sides, with the people wanting to be left alone and all.
