You come out at night
That's when the energy comes
And the dark side's light
And the vampires roam
You strut your rasta wear
And your suicide poem
And a cross from a faith that died before jesus came

You're building a mystery

You live in a church where you sleep with voodoo dolls
And you won't give up the search for the ghosts in the halls
You wear sandals in the snow and a smile that won't wash away
Can you look out the window without your shadow getting in the way

Oh you're so beautiful with an edge and a charm
But so careful when I'm in your arms

'Cause you're working, building a mystery
Holding on and holding it in
Yeah you're working
Building a mystery and choosing so carefully

You woke up screaming aloud
A prayer from your secret god
You feed off our fears and hold back your tears
Give us a tantrum and a know it all grin
Just when we need one when the evening's thin

Sarah Mclachlan - Building a Mystery

ha..fixed that

you told me that you want to die. i said i've been there myself more than a few times. and i go back every once in a while. you called me lucky, you... you called me lucky. you said tonight is a wonderful night to die. i asked you how you could tell, you told me to look at the sky. look at all those stars, look at how goddamn ugly the stars are. it's one or another. between a rope and a bottle. i can tell you're having trouble breathing, cause you'll never be o.k., you'll never be o.k. (you'll always be in pain). you'll always feel this way. cause things they never work out right (the wrong way, the lonely way). you'll always be in pain. you told me that the daylight burned you and that the sunrise was enough to kill you. i said maybe you're a Vampire . you said it's quite possible, i feel truly dead inside. it's one or another. between a rope and a bottle. i can tell you're having trouble breathing, cause you'll never be o.k., you'll never be o.k. (you'll always be in pain). you'll always feel this way. cause things they never work out right (the wrong way, the lonely way). you'll always be in pain. don't forget to let your life rot you inside out. don't forget to let your life rot you inside out. don't forget to let your life rot you inside out.

Beneath the city two hearts beat
Soul engines running through a night so tender in a bedroom locked
In whispers of soft refusal and then surrender in the tunnels uptown
The Rat's own dream guns him down as shots echo down them hallways in the night
No one watches when the ambulance pulls away
Or as the girl shuts out the bedroom light

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!

Oh oh, come take my hand
We're riding out tonight to case the promised land
Oh oh oh oh, Thunder Road
Oh, Thunder Road, oh, Thunder Road
Lying out there
Like a killer in the sun
Hey, I know it's late,
We can make it if we run
Oh oh oh oh, Thunder Road
Sit tight, take hold, Thunder Road

It's leaving time again
I'm headed out
With all my friends
It's a roll of the dice
I've never thought twice
About the way
I've been spending my time
Trying my guts out
For every dime
Working in an
Office building tall
You don't know
Who's next to you at all
But being out here
The blood, the guts, the beer
Is a test
Only time will tell
It brings you close, man
Closer than hell

We're leaving
Leaving again
Can't recall
Where are we been
I guess we'll just go
Go till we're too old
Or we run out of road

In a world that can be so insane
I don't think it's very strange
For me to be in love with you
I wanna know more than your brain

Into my life you were injected
Not something that I expected
Now I smile from your affection
We have made a soul connection
Just for whom does your bell toll
Don't be cold show me your soul

Chorus
Sentimental Gentlemen are not afraid to show you when
I am you, you're my best friend
show me your soul

As the island slowly sank
The loser finally broke the bank in the gambling room.
The dealer said, "It's too late now.
You can take your money, but I don't know how
You'll spend it in the tomb."
The tiny man bit the soldier's ear
As the floor caved in and the boiler in the basement blew,
While she's out on the balcony, where a stranger tells her,
"My darling, je vous aime beaucoup."
She sheds a tear and then begins to pray
As the fire burns on and the smoke drifts away
From Black Diamond Bay.

"Black Diamond Bay," by Bob Dylan

And together they harvested Galveston Bay

My mind wanders as I,m trying not to fall in love with you
'Cause everytime I wake I ponder on my mistakes of
what I said, it is always my esteem that I sure lose
playing those stupid games as I always end up chasing you

I can't help myself anymore
rehearsing my thoughts as I,m to scared to come to your door
I pushed it all aside just stand next to you
Now you won't talk to me for something I didn't do
It's not going to work

And I'm trying not to think of you
I'm all confused as I think of the things that I would do
I'm all shook up as I get all nervous inside
My emotions are something that I will always hide away

I went with nothing
Nothing but the thought of you
I went wandering

I went drifting
Through the capitals of tin
Where men can't walk
Or freely talk
And sons turn their fathers in
I stopped outside a church house
Where the citizens like to sit
They say they want the kingdom
But they don't want God in it

Consider the odds,
Consider the obvious .
The martyr is meaningless,
The campaign has died.
In the planning stages and the fallen faces
Are the singular proof that it was ever alive.

This purchased rebellion has been outbidded,
Denounced and rescinded and left to die championless.
I begged you not to go.
I begged you, I pleaded.
Claimed you as my only hope
And watched the floor as you retreated.

Hope has sprung a perfect dive
A perfect day, a perfect lie.
A slowly crafted monologue conceding your defeat.

Does it comfort you to know you fought the good fight?
Basking in your victory,
Hollow and alone
While you boast your bitter bragging rights to anyone who'll listen.
While you're left with nothing tangible to gain.

MAN, I hate U2.

Your lipstick, his collar.. don't bother Angel
I know exactly what goes on
When everything you'll get is
everything that you've wanted, princess
(well which would you prefer)
My finger on the trigger, or
(me face down, down across your floor)
Me face down, down across your floor
(me face down, down across your floor)
Well just so long as this thing's loaded

And will you tell all your friends
you've got your gun to my head
This all was only wishful thinkin,
this all was only wishful thinkin
And will you tell all your friends
you've got your gun to my head
This all was only wishful thinkin,
this all was only wishful thinkin
let's go...

Don't bother trying to explain Angel
I know exactly what goes on when you're on and
How about I'm outside of your window
(how about I'm outside of your window)
Watchin him keep the details covered
You're such a sucker (you're such a sucker)
for a sweet talker, yeah

And will you tell all your friends
you've got your gun to my head
This all was only wishful thinkin,
this all was only wishful thinkin
(the only thing that I regret is that I, I never let you hold me back)
And will you tell all your friends
you've got your gun to my head
This all was only wishful thinkin,
this all was only wishful thinkin

Hoping for the best just hoping nothing happens
A thousand clever lines unread on clever napkins
I will never ask if you don't ever tell me
I know you well enough to know you never loved me
Hoping for the best just hoping nothing happens
A thousand clever lines unread on clever napkins
I will never ask if you don't ever tell me
I know you well enough to know you never loved me
Hoping for the best just hoping nothing happens
A thousand clever lines unread on clever napkins
I will never ask if you don't ever tell me
I know you well enough to know...

Why can't I feel anything
from anyone other than you?
Why can't I feel anything
from anyone other than you?
And all of this was all your fault
And all of this
(I stay jealous)
I stay wrecked and jealous for this,
for this simple reason
I just need to keep you in mind
as something larger than life
(she'll destroy us all before she's through
and find a way to blame somebody else)
I stay wrecked and jealous for this,
for this simple reason
I just need to keep you in mind
as something larger than life
(she'll destroy us all before she's through
and find a way to blame somebody else)
I stay wrecked and jealous for this,
for this simple reason
I just need to keep you in mind
as something larger than life!

If you scratch it won't disappear
It's going to itch and burn and sting

Ooh, you switched on me! I can handle that.

She runs through the streets
With her eyes painted red
Under black belly of cloud in the rain
In through a doorway she brings me
White gold and pearls stolen from the sea
She is raging
She is raging
And the storm blows up in her eyes
She will...

Suffer the needle chill
She is running to stand still.

I was hoping to post this one LAST post.
But this'll do.

Oh well, you've got me under your spell
and I don't think that I'm kidding around.
I don't think I can forget you now.
I once sat up on my roof and examined the planning of my town.
I saw the structured grid and pavement cutting through grass
and I remembered the cold of winter running up the legs of my pants.
I picked the nicest lawn and imagined the two of us
rolling around down along the ground.
I saw myself touch your face and I noticed jets begin to race above our heads.
But I pinched my arm and remembered how much you hate me.
I remembered the fact that I can't see what you need
and I'm too stupid to be aware of the beauty that you give this place
and how sh***y this town would seem without you in it.
When you aren't around I let the shades fall down to shut out
all the sun's light and make myself feel all right.
What am I doing with my life?
Remember that the only things we need sometimes
are chilly nights and warmer thighs, 'cause there's nothing like being held.

"Hold" - Saves The Day

um, sorry - I had to answer the phone.

(I don't have to apologize!)

Three o'clock in the morning
It's silent, there's no one around
Just the bang and the clatter
As an angel hits the ground

Well, I had three weeks' vacation time coming
After working all year down at Big Roy's Heating and Plumbing.
So one night when the family and I were gathered 'round the dinner table, I said, "Kids,
If you could go anywhere in this great big world, now, where'd you like to go ta?"
They said, "Dad,
We wanna see the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota."
They picked the Biggest Ball of Twine in Minnesota!

You can look at all of our great friends
They're busy busy tied up in knots
Well you know that I'm just like them
Except this morning I've come untied
