I'm still pretty sure it just uses the first three letters of each name. For example Mr. Xyz Abc is Lardo Proudneck of Tuckborough and Mr. Xyza Abca is the same.

*high fives Eruvë* I was just about to post that. It's much cooler than the "name generator," which just takes random names out of Tolkien's mythos and smushes them together.

The only problem with sites like that is that MY name is never EVER EVER listed on them. I was always one of the poor souls that could never find a mug, key chain or bicycle license plate with her name on it in the supermarket. But if I got the closest thing I'd be Úcenite Erantale
With the other site, my name is Azaelia Gamwich of the Bree Gamwiches and in Elvish, I'm Larien Táralóm.

I couldn't figure out the last name from the sight Eruve linked, and the original link doesn't seem to working, so I found a different name generator,
Name from Eruve's like: Alcarcalimo
Hobbit name: Druppi Bullroarer Long Cleve , Shire-thain
Elven name: Yseavyan Friend-of-Men
Dwarf name: Koigan Stonehelm
Wizard name: Melian , Grey Wanderer
Human name: Owucyn Edain
hmm, my dwarf name isn't that different from my screen name, and now for the bonus points:

CHRISTOPHER (m.) - Erucolindo, see NWHAGEN; based on suggestion above it also could be Lavincolindo or Laivincolmo or Lavincólo (*colmo, *cólo "bearer"); or we may adopt 'Christ' to Quenya if someone cannot accept Eru, so Hristocolindo; or Elpinocolindo (see CHRISTIAN)
MICHAEL (m.) - Manveru, see NWHAGEN
I couldn't find my last name < Kidd >

I only just saw this... Narnia, you think you've got it bad? Not only is that true for me too, but at least people can PRONOUNCE yours!
My name never shows up anywhere!

Now, I had a friend of mine, using the translation of my real name, translate it to Elvish, and we got Rochtal Alphkrist.

After careful consideration, I'm going to pick one of the above and officially change my name as soon as the ice melts and the world starts turning again.

At the last hobbit site I got completely different results depending on whether I entered Julie or Julia. Hobbit: Julie (lastname): Laeryan Pickthorn of the Shire Julia (lastname): Claengwen Norcross of the Bree Smurf: either Full Montey Smurf or Chanukah Smurf. Human: Julie: Haon Queen of Gondor!!! Julia: Foawen Eorl I knew there was a reason I've always liked Julie better! Wizard: Melia , Powers of Arda or Valaraukar , Queen of the Sea Maybe I should be going by Julia! Dwarf: Mereana of Belegost or Ysalyan , Queen under the Mountain Elven: Védith Queen of the Noldor or Móng Greenleaf
I think I'm destined to be royalty somewhere! Except with hobbits. I think it's funny how one letter made so much difference. I didn't change the last name or the first four letters of the first name, and yet my entire name changed!
