I seem to have this karmic disease, wherein if I fake sick to get out of something, I invariably actually get sick.

For instance, Friday I stayed up late writing a paper and was miserably tired when I went to class, so I ducked out early pleading sick.

Today, I feel like I'm going to fall over with an earache and dizziness... Miserable. Anyone else have this particular ailment?

Have you noticed that that's usually the end to almost all con movies (Conman gets conned)?

Psh. Only crappy con man movies. The good ones have the con man come out on top, like The Sting and Ocean's Eleven.

**minor spoiler**

I happened to like Matchstick Men. So psh on you.

But, then again, that was a con movie in the way Ender's Game was a sci-fi book. It's basic by-the-numbers stuff, but done in exactly the right way, with more attention put to characters and their interaction then to pleasing fans of their respective genres.

Anyway, back to sickness.

Maybe you got sick because you pushed yourself too much by staying up late and working. Just a thought.
