I think I learned about that site a few years ago. Maybe less, who knows. I'd have to go home to get the info, but my death day is somewhere in the mid to late 50s.

But he doesn't seem to have updated the Dead Letter Office in a year. Too bad, those letters crack me up.

I wouldn't go deleting or being embarrassed every time someone says "it was posted before," especially if it was a couple years ago - those posts are long gone for the most part.
Just to be clear - I don't think Ela was trying to embarrass anyone. She was just letting people know she thought it was neat/fun/interesting/weird enough to post it herself sometime back.
Then again, I've gone to the site and am not really happy with what I learned there.

And yes, skrika, there's a lot of stuff I haven't posted in the last however many years.
I guess you think I shouldn't have mentioned that I remembered the last duct tape thread, but it doesn't detract from Ben's posting about a duct tape wallet, and I doubt he took it that way, either.

Absolutely correct, sndrake.
Actually, a couple of weeks ago I was bored and thought of re-posting the Death Clock myself, cause I thought a lot of newbies may not have seen it. But then I got busy and didn't bother.

I think I saw a different version of this about four years or so ago. I know a lot of people who were afraid to look at it because they thought it might change something.

Wednesday, February 9, 2061 I'll be 80. Pretty old. I just don't want to go after my Vincent. Together in a car crash, maybe...

Tuesday, June 22nd, 2077. However, chances are I'll be dead by the time I'm 80, since everyone I'm related to has cancer, and you catch cancer like a cold these days. Oh, did I mention I said I was an optimist?

I checked "pessimistic" and got Wednesday, November 24, 2027 . So there. I won't make 56. Does that make me the first to go?

I'm not generally optimistic, or even normal (see how I read Ela's comments) but on the subject of longevity I'm very optimistic. I'm not related to anyone who has had terminal cancer.

As I mentioned in another thread, I know of no male to whom I am genetically related who has made it to sixty.

OK I'm thick - I always get mixed up between 16 ounces in a pound and 14 pounds in a stone. Thought my BMI was incredibly high - times'd by 16 not 14. Not that it made that much difference though - I get an extra 3 years exactly.

I'll die at the age of 52. My son will have just started his LDS church mission. His dog will probably still be alive. My wife may still be driving her car.
Oh well, I had to go sometime!

I left the selection at normal, but I probably should have gone pessimistic. It has me dying at 72, which may or may not be about right.
I have a kidney disease which I inherited from my dad. As long as the disease is diagnosed, they can treat the HBP that accompanies it, and can better monitor the progression. Medical science wasn't advanced enough for my grandfather to ever get diagnosed with it, and he died before he turned 50. My dad, however, will turn 60 next month, and just had a transplant this past winter. I'm definitely paying attention to how things go for him because I know I'll be facing the same thing in another 20 years or so.

Your whining about death is so much crepitation in my master's ears. Only He knows when you will die!
