Kids are taught to avoid people who make odd requests. Being offered sums of money for used socks would definitely fall in that category. That he didn't immediately run like hell is probably a concern, but I imagine he's learned his lesson.

I'd never come across that site, CT. I'll have to check it out sometime when I'm online away from my work--somehow, with a URL like that, I think that my visiting that site might raise a red flag or two with the IT police here.
