SO, I'm working on adding an RSS feed to sakeriver, and I had a few quick questions. As you may know, I have a few different content areas and I was wondering how to organize my feed. Should I have one channel that encompasses all of the different content areas (editorials, reviews, etc.), or should I split it into multiple channels? And if I should split it into multiple channels, should they all go into the same XML file, or should each get its own file? Are there technical reasons to prefer one organization over another, or is it more a matter of style?

Each RSS feed needs to be its own document (file, if you're writing it by hand).

The typical approach is to have a combined feed and topic feeds, giving people the most choice.

I highly suggest generating the feeds programmatically rather than creating them by hand.
