Yeah! That would show her. We won't be pushed around, no matter how much demolition equipment she has.

I'm sick. I've been sick since Sunday. I'm in the 'draining' period and I feel like my brains have liquified and are escaping through my sinus cavities.
So, El Jay, rock on my sista. And take a few from me, too.

I hate that part. If you don't have enough energy to be pissy for yourself, I'll be pissy enough for the both of us.
Until tonight, when I am KrabbyPatty's "date" at a reception thingie 'cause Daddy's out of town. Then I will be friendly and gracious for a few hours. Then it's right back to grumpy!
AJ & mack, everyone has a direct line to God. The problem is getting answers back, neh?

ElJay you aren't thinking negatively enough... Haven't you heard of what happened to Pharoah after Moses prayed? And didn't you and your sister fight a lot as kids?

Hey, I'm sorry I'm not being negative enough, but it's early.
It really sucks, having to get 5 years of allergy shots. Question: what happens should you want to go on vacation or out of town or something? Carry the shots with you and get a doc wherever you are do them for you? My brother had to do that. Took a cooler bag filled iwth ice and the serum with him wherever he went. But he only had to get shots for close to a year.
All for you, Eljay!

quids and rivka, you're so sweet! I think if I go on vacation I just kinda adjust the shots around it, get one before I leave and one when I get back. I don't usually go on vacation for longer than a week - 10 days. Although I suppose I might sometime in the next five years. If so, I think we just kinda drop back a little in the shot "intensity" and work back up.
I3, I did, it was a lovely time.

Um, when my brother skipped a shot, he had to start at the very beginning, and that's why he ended up taking them with him in a cooler bag after that.

I get 3 allergy shots. I am even allergic to horses. I know where you are coming from.
As someone who is physically active, this becomes very annoying when it comes to lifting weights or swimming and your triceps feel like bags of boiling acid.

Hobbes and I were wondering...(ok, ok, I was wondering and he told me he had no idea), if you're allergic (as I am) to house cats, would you also be allergic to big cats, like lions, tigers, pumsa, cougars, etc?

Lisha, I'm allergic to house cats. By experience, I know that I'm also allergic to the bigger cats, only worse. Years ago, I worked for a small UHF station. We had a late night talk show. One night, the guests were from a circus that had come to town. They brought their black panther. It was a small studio and I was running cameras.
I thought I was going to die in about 3 minutes of being in close proximity to the cat. It was by far the worst allergic reaction I've ever had.

Wow, that's scary. I guess it stands to reason that if the little ones get to you, the bigger ones would be worse. I wasn't sure if the dander would be the same or not though.
How sad would it be if you wanted to be a wildlife specialist in the Sahara or something and you couldn't, because the lions made you sneeze?

Speaking of allergies, I just discovered that I'm allergic to tomatoes. No more ketchup or tomato soup.

I'm allergic to my sister-in-law being late to pick up her kids 6 kids under the age of 8. (My 3 and her 3 combined). Which she had called me to confirm that I was on for it at 10 pm last night. Which was my husband's birthday. Though he was gone to the store at that moment. Sorry. Just had to vent.

OMG I am never doing allergy shots. NEVER I was considering it, my allergies get worse each year and I have started to develop asthma, but I think I’m going to stick to my twice daily antihistamine/pain reliever and try to keep the cats off my bed for a little longer *goes to hide*

I was thinking about this yesterday, and meant to ask you how it was going. So, how's it going?

*yawn* Okay, okay, I'm up. And mom hasn't even called to remind me yet. (I'm taking no chances this week, I can't miss two in a row.)
Thanks for the bumps!
And quids, it's going alright, I guess. I'm still at a low enough dose that I just get itchy for awhile... the itchy eyes are the worst. The last time I went in the shots really hurt, but I think that's more what nurse is giving them than anything else. Oh, and I got a little swelling last time, but nothing like dkw talks about with her arm swelling to the size of a softball and radiating heat. Oh, and I moved up from 1:1,000,000 to 1:100,000 two shots ago. So I guess that's progress. I still haven't noticed any difference as far as my actual allergies are concerned, but they said that would take awhile.
I hope Laurie's back. I like her best. She's the nurse who was there when I had my test.
