I did a brief skim on epidurals and side-effects - apparently migraine headaches can be side effects.
I would seriously recommend talking to a doctor at a clinic because I don't think this is a problem that's going to clear up by itself if it is a complication from the epidural, possibly aggravated by your diagnosis on migraines earlier.
Pfft...just be glad I didn't have to roll out the serious guilt trip.
Think I should print this thread out to help them get an accurate account of what was going on and why in the heck I'm there?
BTW, once the pain started to decrease, I went and did the self-hypnosis/relaxation again, and that's what stopped the shakiness and spasms. So probably tension was part of it.

It couldn't hurt to write down a list of what your symptoms were and the sequence in which things happened.
I'd also jot down what you ate today and any medical history you think is pertinent - if nothing else, it'll give you a checklist for what to tell the doctor.
I was very worried! My wife suffers from migranes. After battling with them since her early teenage years, I finally convinced her to go to a neurologist. He brought her from 18 migranes a month to about 3 or 4 a month. He found her migranes to be a chemical imbalance of the brain.
I found her in the hall once in the middle of the night mumbling and sobbing. It was very scary. I also had a friend die of a cerebral hemmorhage with a presentation that was eerily similar to the pain and symptoms you described. She died within 48 hours. That is why I too agree that you should get checked out as soon as possible in a thorough and complete way.
But you need to look at your quality of life and determine what will help you most. We only see a sliver of how your migranes are affecting you. I wish you the best in finding an answer and getting them under control!
I promise to get it taken care of as soon as I can.
I'm madder now than I was before that my husband's work's insurance plan costs more than he makes in the average week per week and we are just making it as it is, so we have no insurance.
I really hope he gets the job he's hoping for.

I'm so glad you are feeling better. I hope this works out for you, kq. [And you know how I feel about the healthcare "system" in this country.]
quote: I'm *really* glad that Theca made her way in here--she's probably the best one of us you could have hoped to have look in the thread (no offense to our other medicos and medico types).
None taken, at least not from this little corner. I, too, am very glad Theca is and was here, even in the middle of the stress of starting a new job. It's a relief and a pleasure to know that she is here to watch over y'all.

I'm so glad we have a private health care system. I'm so glad we're not like those poor people suffering in Europe because their governments try to socialize everything and then they have to wait in lines and don't get the best plastic surgeons. Besides - how are we ever gong to increase morale in the lower classes if we don't make them work hard and deserve medical care like the rest of us do?

Yeah, Annie. This is one of those threads that makes me love the fact I have a health card in my wallet only a few metres away .
[sidenote: I had a professor this year who has a stron hatred of communism and socialism (he's a complete nutter but that's another story). He hates unions, and yet this year a union saved him from being fired. It's when you need it it suddenly actually doesn' seem so bad, eh?]

Had to go away for a while, but I was very worried-- I had Virul Menengitis about 15 years ago and your signs scared me. They all sounded like mine back then. I am so glad you are feeling better!!

(((hugs Aunty Eem))) Thanks, guys. And don't worry, if I had had a trace of a fever or a rash, I would have called my husband and been in the emergency room quicker than you can say "menengitis".

The latter. He's a very bright man but very strongly opinionated, a bit of a real-life troll, hypocrytical, self-centred, righteous but not necessarily upright himself, un-politically correct and somewhat closed-minded. He was born Jewish and is now and atheist with Catholic beliefs.
However, he realises he is all of these things and readily accepts it.
In conclusion; he's probably a little insane.

KQ----I didn't have a fever--but spent 2 days in the hospital. If you have a severe painful reaction that is like a migraine(I have them too) but have a stiff and/or painful neck. Forget the cash call a doctor its not worth leaving that beutiful baby girl alone with no momma. By the way she look remarkabley like Ryuko at thet age! You take care of yourself for her.

I'm glad things got better Ketchupqueen. I hope they don't flare up that bad again. But if they do...
Go to a doctor!
(If you come live in Australia, I'll take you to the doctor. Not that I have some secret plan to move every Hatracker to my country or anything.)

KQ, have you looked into reflexology? While I wouldn't suggest it as a replacement for proper medical care, it can greatly relieve symptoms in the short term. I frequently rub Fahim's feet when he has headaches or neck & back pain, and usually, it goes from blinding to not bad in less than a minute.

imogen, I'd love to move to Australia, but only after you guys got rid of so many of the most poisonous/dangerous animals and insects and fish you have down there.
