That was PP&M? Never heard their version. I know Simon and Garfunkle did it. I learned it from a book and my dad's Scottish friend singing it long before I heard that version, though. It's a pretty old song. I wonder if there's a history online, I'm interested in this melody connection... *wanders off to look on Google*

*laugh* I was just sharing. I was sure you knew the song!
Yeah, several versions claim to be oldest. Then again, traditional Chassidish melodies -- niggunim -- have no words.

Beats me. Luckily, I don't have to know; I'm happy just to enjoy the song. And other songs.
Have you joined the a cappella recording group? You don't have to record, you can just hear us singing public domain songs if you want. Heck, you don't even have to join the group, just e-mail us for songs. It's fun.
Okay, I know you haven't; a better question would be why?

Yeah, but solo doesn't sing! To be fair, he mixes, but as I said, you could just be a groupy and praise us all. That would be participating, and in a very appreciated way.

*giggle* Ok, when I have time to catch up on a multi-page thread. I haven't read it since before it went to two pages.

Just 12 days to go! Are you guys excited? I am!!!!
Also, if you haven't responded for the restaurant yet and would like to go, just say so now! I called them, and they said I didn't need to make a reservation until next Wed. or so. So, you have until then to get counted.

I wanted to let y'all know my schedule's probably going to change a couple more times; as of now, I won't be available Saturday but will be available Sunday.
Why, yes, I did go to Scarborough Faire, but I didn't get the 'wench' t-shirt--dang pale pink!

Oh, don't worry. I'm sure those of us who eat Indian food a lot will be happy to help those who don't choose.
Jeff doesn't like very spicy food, so I'm used to choosing things that aren't too hot for him. He can also probably give you some recommendations for things that those new to Indian food will enjoy.
And pronunciation's not that hard; besides, if you're really butchering it, you can always point to the menu (I've only had to do that twice, though.)
If you all want to see a menu (although I'm not sure how accurate it is) go to this page and click on "menu". *is hungry after reading the menu*
