It's now available on Netflix, and I'm really tempted, but...
It's a pirate movie (which, in Mormon slang means it's rated Arrrrgh!), which I'm not neccessarily averse to, just mostly averse to. Chances are I'll have to watch it with my mom and sister, so any over-the-top vulgarity or nudity or overall ickiness would be no good.
Has anyone seen it? Would you reccommend it or not?

I would definitely recommend it to anyone. It's a beautiful movie. I can't remember any nudity or vulgarity, but my norwegian sensibilities might be slightly different to mormon sensibilities so I'm not sure.
According to this, it's rated R for "language."

Have you read the book? I think you might get more out of it if you have. Yes, it's very good. The book is worth reading and the film is worth seeing.

Thanks for all the input on this. I think I'll go ahead and get it.
I'm thinking the biggest problem my mom might have with it, now that I think about it, is politics. She told me that Not One Less was Socialist propaganda. I'm not sure how I can talk her into the life story of Che Guevara...
