If I had to pick a quote from Wicked for a signature, it would be:

---------------
"Where I come from we believe all sorts of things that aren't true--we call it history"

Or maybe:

---------------
Galinda: "Now that we're friends, I've decided to make you my new project."
Elphaba: "You don't have to do that."
Galinda: "I know, that's what makes me so nice!"

Both of which are some of my favorites, as far as spoken dialogue. I couldn't begin to pick a favorite song.

These I use on other forums. Or, I would use a quote from a Discworld book ...

something like this, maybe

---------------------
There are, it has been said, two types of people in the world. There are those who, when presented with a glass that is exactly half full, say: this glass is half full. And then there are those who say: this glass is half empty. The world belongs, however, to those who can look at the glass and say: What's up with this glass? Excuse me? Excuse me? This is my glass? I don't think so. My glass was full! And it was a bigger glass!

* Is that a word?!? I searched on dictionary.com and it didn't say anything about a plural, except for one entry that had "statuses"...

I found another sig that I like.

To subdue the enemy without fighting is the acme of skill.

Speaking of the glass half empty/glass half full, I like this variant:

The pessimist thinks that the glass is half empty. The optimist thinks that the glass is half full. The engineer thinks that the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.

I'd use the same as my e-mail signature.

In a random shuffle:

"The more you know, the less you need."

"There is a difference between knowing the path and walking the path."

"What a strange illusion it is to suppose that beauty is goodness."

"Never move things - it makes gaps."

"Be yourself, no matter what they say."

"Some things are true, whether you believe in them or not."

"Once the game is over, the king and the pawn go back into the same box."

"Never eat singing fruit."

Years ago, I had a program written to randomly swap good Terry Pratchett quotes into my .sig, back when .sig files were actually, y'know, files.

"Get with the program or get out!"

or

"Write yer own and see if it floats."

along with

"Bullocks to the rules! We're strong!, we hunt!"

or some more pleasing combo of the above that I can't muster at the moment. (noted to ed. - include this last one, too!)

If I had a Hatrack sig, it would probably be my usual one :
I know what I know
And I'll sing what I say
We come and we go
That's a sing that I keep in the back of my head
