It's called ( I think) "If I were a Rich Girl," sounds kinda like the "If I were a Rich Man," but by female rappers. Who wrote it or performed it?
And it's not the one with Gwen Stefani in it (yuk).

and the suckier if you ask me, because if you heard the older one (I think it was around 2002 or 2003 that it came out), her version kind of blows the point out of the older one --ie money ain't all it's cracked up to be.

The only one I've ever heard was Tricky's bit on Daydreaming from Massive Attack's "Blue Lines" album. It's about a decade before what you seem to be talking about, and he does actually say "rich man", but there is a lot of female vocal on the track as well, so maybe it's the one you're thinking of? If it's not, maybe it should be.

No, that ain't it, but that is an awesome song---I love Massive Attack.
I guess I'll just have to call the radio station that plays it---they just never seem to announcew the performer.

usually radio station websites will have a list of songs on their playlist - take a look there so you don't have to sing it to the DJ. I worked in radio for ten years, and those are the goofiest calls... they sometimes get recorded and played back for the amusement of the staff...
