I am currently listening to "The Spy Hunter," by Project 86. Not only is the guitar super cool. But the singer's voice jives quite well with music. Its definitely head-banging worthy.
Anyone else like any musix by Project 86?

I would have been confused by Christian heavy metal until I heard Christian rap. Now nothing surprises me.

"The Spy Hunter" and its writers are both good, actually. I would have frowned at the idea too. But I changed my mind when I heard this, when I heard "Revolution," by Dizmas, and when my super duper uber religious friend told me that Switchfoot was Christian hard rock in disguise.

Anyone notice how of all the religions only Christianity seems to feel the need to take over multiple genre's of music and infuse them with their theology. And not only that, sometimes disguise the attempt?
I don't think I'd mind the existance of Christian rock/rap/metal/etc so much if there was hindu/jewish/islamic/buddhist/etc rock/rap/metal/etc.

I just looked them up on Myspace and went to their site as well. Not quite my type of music, but they're not bad. To each their own.
*looks at own taste in music* (I have an assortment going back to 50/60/70/80's rock to Grunge, Punk, Goth, Nu, Death, and Heavy Metal. Odd part is is that I have a collection of country cds too.)
Because I am the last that should bad mouth any of that.

I'm from the south and I say "soda" more than "pop" or "Coke." I've heard all 3 used though interchangably around here though.

You thought I was coked up? Noooooo. I'm a D.A.R.E. graduate. Even though the girl who gave her "Why I'm drug free" speech at the graduation was getting high behind the school every day... in sixth grade.

Hah! Sorry, Tin. It's just this vibe I get from you. And shame on you! I was talking about Coca-Cola, not drugs!

Straange how this topic went from Christian heavy metal, to whether people say 'pop', or 'soda'. yet, if you do through, it all makes sense.

What's the definition of "Bum", and "Dum"? They have to be the most common beat substitues when singing.
