Oh, gosh. I've spent so long trying to forget that movie, and there you go making me remember it again.

The worst line from that movie was at the end when they have the touchy-feely alien family reunion, and one of the astronauts says something like, "We're them. They're us." *barf*

I get Mission to Mars and Red planet mixed up. Both were incredibly bad.

I can't believe no one has mentioned this -gem- from ep III...

Anakin: You are so... beautiful.
Amidala: It's only because I'm so in love.
Anakin: No, it's because I'm so in love with you.

No, I love you more, no I love you more, no I love you more, no I love you more, please, shoot me in the back of the head so that last thing that passes through my mind is not "no I love you more" and is instead a bullet!

From Troy:
Paris: Father, you are a great king, because you love your country so much. Every blade of grass, every grain of sand, every rock in the river... You love all of Troy. That is the way I love Helen.

Helen: This is all my fault.
(Yes! YES IT IS!)

The Patriot:

"Kill me before the war is over will you? Well it appears that you are not the better man"

--the most useless line in a movie of useless lines, but tied with this one

"Gabriel said when the war was over we could be a whole new world...we just thought we'de get started right here, with your new house..."

----Obviously the script writer beleived that there would be no actual picture of the house in progress, this was to be a radio play, everything had to be said aloud.

edit: Another over-written scene in the Patriot:

White Guy: "Its august now... Your Free"
Black Guy: (Glances into the distance) "I know, I'm here now on my own accord"
White Guy: "Im honored, HONORED, to serve with you."

This scene would have worked better with one line:

"Its august"

the rest could have been accomplished in 3 seconds of body language... but NOOOO

I second all those who have quoted Star Wars Ep I-III.

How about:

"Jake, we'd love for you to play the role of Anakin Skywalker."

- Casting director for SW Ep I, to Jake Lloyd.

And then there's:

"CUT, that was great, everyone!"

- George Lucas to his actors in each scene of Ep I-III.

Ok, that was a bit harsh. There were some good scenes in each flick. Darth Maul, anyone? But I just can't get Darth Vader's heart-wrenching "NNNOOOOO" out of my head long enough to give any examples.

I wish Firefly was still on the air.
