Sorry to spam you guys with personal stuff, but I'm so proud. He requested his first Inter-Library loan today. Jedi Apprentice # 1. *wipes geek-parent tear* Our local branch actually had some Jedi Quest books. He considered the one that was in, but decided against it after reading the jacket. "I don't want to read about Anakin," he said. "There might be kissing." Eight-year-olds ROCK!

Doesn't it warm your heart to see your kids turning into proper geeks?

Just wait until he gets to the Young Jedi Knight series! Wow, I still have all of those books and I remember buying e-v-e-r-y single one of them.

I enjoy knowing an 8 year-old beat me to the punch on the landmark that is the first ILL. I'm 20 and I still haven't tried it. I wish my parents had bred me to be a proper geek. Congrats though!!
