... by the STUPID AIM AD! I'm sitting here, it's kind of late at night, and somehow my sound got turned up, and I accidently drift my mouse over the ad and some awful racket starts blasting from my computer! I guess it's supposed to be music of some kind? I don't know, all I know is that it scared the crap out of me.

Figuratively of course.

Websites that automatically make sounds should be banned. Unless it's a link people click on specifically to get that media (i.e., a YouTube video), it's demmed annoying!

Speaking of sounds, is there a plug-in or extension for firefox to mute browser windows?

I've been playing that cube game at home and there's no way to turn off the sound independent of turning off my speakers entirely. I'd like to be able to play my music loudly without having the game automatically turned up, too. It's a noisy game! It's fun, but it's just poor programming that they didn't include a volume control on it.
