What would happen if cheese was made with chocolate milk, instead of white?

Cheese and chocolate go together like orange juice and toothpaste.

Wow, profound. Cheese would probably look very weird, but would it really look weird because we wouldn't know that it looked weird because it would always have been made with darker colored milk.

What if chocolate milk was really red????

Sharp cheddar and dark chocolate with a nice glass of red wine is yummm.

---

Edited to add: the sweeter, creamy/diluted versions of each don't go as well together for me. But I really like sharp tastes together, like Granny Smiths with sharp cheddar.

I believe I did have chocolate cheese at one point in my life at a cheese festival in Wisconsin. I could be imagining it, though. I have pretty cool dreams.

I'm pretty sure that it couldn't be done realistically because chocolate milk is pastuerized, and if you tried to make cheese using unpasturized milk stired with chocolate syrup you'd likely lose most of the chocolate in the whey. Also cheese is stored or at least dipped in salt water, and that would make it nasty.

Chocolate cream cheese might be possible though, and it would essencially be unbaked cheesecake.

I've had chocolate cheese before, and enjoyed it. It was not cheese made with chocolate milk. Besides the problems breyer mentioned, there's also the issue of all the extra sugar in chocolate milk. Anyway, it was cheese made with cocoa powder or chocolate solids or some such, I really can't remember. Except that it was delicious.

What a great idea! I love really, really dark, high quality chocolate and dry red wine together. Now I'm going to have to get some sharp cheddar and see how I like the three of them together.

I've had chocolate cheese. Also vanilla cheese and pistacio cheese. I liked cheese with Guiness better than any of those, though.

Hmm... I was about 9 at the time, but I distinctly remember disliking it, and asking for this other really sharp cheese (I think it was Havarti, now that I think of it). The reason I disliked it, was because my brain said chocolate cheese should taste nasty, so it did.

The holy trinity of robust red wine condiments: sharp cheddar, dark chocolate, and smoked almonds.

Sounds like a recipe for a migraine trigger.

That said, I've had chocolate cheesecake. A little bit of heaven on Earth, is what that is.

I made chocolate cheese once, but not on purpose.
Basically, I just left chocolate milk sitting in my room for a week. It didn't look too appetizing, though.
