Acronyms are allowed, for the simple reason that one of my favourite words is really an acronym.
  • -lah (Manglish suffix)
  • fubar
  • flak (Usage: I copped a lot of flak for that mistake.)
  • Polemarch (closely followed by navarch)
  • non-diegetic

fubar is the only "backronym" I know. The word is an adaptation of the German "furchtbar", meaning terrible or abominable which was picked up by US soldiers during WW II. The common acronym (F___ up beyond all recognition) was derived later.

It's an international online video game that's ENORMOUSLY popular in southeast Asia. The "lah" suffix is very prevalent in the slang of the gamers who play it, and it's the only place I've ever heard it used. My mistake!

Just saying, but you know that's a Zen usage that never really pops up in normal conversation, right? It's a word most often used as a prefix roughly equivalent to 'non-' or 'without'.
