it's a driving hard rock tune, we are trying to make it more universal.

Your mission:
come up with one new word for both blanks.

"10 years gone by still on the run
thanks for the memories, so much fun
we fly sideways on a straight path
headed nowhere, really ________ fast
_______ fast, we fly farther"

already discarded entries=

really f*&^%ing fast (the original)
really really fast
really goddamn fast
really freakin' fast

thanks! (edited for context)

kinda;
not so;
gradually;
relatively;

Honestly, anything you put in there, it seems like a pretty flat lyric. You may want to change more than just the one word. And without the rest of the song it'll be difficult to insert a word matching the context of your little ballad there.

burning
frakking
bloody
bleeding
crazy
ripping
slamming

And yes, context would help. A lot.

Yeah, "running" works.

Running doesn't work for me. Or, at least, if it's used, the last line needs to change.

"Running fast, we fly farther"

Are we running or flying?

EDIT: Or, perhaps, switch the occurrences of "really" and "running" in the last two lines:

"headed nowhere, running really fast
Really fast, we fly farther"

I like "really ripping fast, time blows past, we fly farther" although I question ending a line with "We fly farther." "Farther we fly" sounds a lot better to my ear.
