I am a ps3 man all the way, but I must give credit to ms. I think it may be the future of gaming. Sony alto showed a motion capture method at E3 but it uses "sticks" and the Ps3eye cam to track movement. Although it's more accurate, it didn't impress me as much as the "joystickless" aproach of project natal.
The video I saw was pretty impressive, but I have to wonder how much interactivity you can ever get out of a finite number of canned responses, even if it's a fairly large finite number. The first time you get a response that's either nonsensical or clearly the repurposing of a response you've heard before, I imagine the beauty of the effect begins to diminish.
