Coeur de Pirate, a soprano from Quebec who sings in French. I don't know what she is saying but this is such a beautiful noise. Corbeau, with lyrics in english.
A San Diego band that goes by The Silent Comedy. I saw them live some time back and still listen to them regularly. If you get the chance to go to a show they are so very worth it, it shows that they love the music and being able to perform it like they do. Bartholomew

Could you guys post your links with the name of the band and the title of the song? Or at least just the name of the band? I'm listening as you all post them, but when I forget and come back to find one after listening, sorting through some of these is cumbersome.

Their lead singer is pretty remarkable, and I dig their whole hip-hop beat aesthetic for sweet indie music.

I read about these recordings in college and was intrigued. One of my favorite CDs. I find their delivery in many of the songs hauntingly beautiful as they sing about things they have no firm grasp of.

Bullets by Lisa Carver, my instructor showed this to me after I presented my digital midterm portfolio about gun and car culture.
Take Us Back by Alela Diane, from The Walking Dead game end credits. Don't look at the video comments unless you've finished the game or don't intend to play it as there are spoilers there.

My album is out, today, for those who are interested. If you end up buying it, let me know, because all who buy on day one get a free bonus download of the songwriting demos.
