Well, there you are. ROF now joins Science Fiction Age in the cemetery for full-size glossy spec fic publications.

They're in good company with their cousins:

Expanse
Absolute Magnitude
Tomorrow SF

(sigh)

I am just waiting for The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction to crash and burn.

Ah crap, there goes another one. I'm assuming my submission there is null and void then, eh?

I just deleted ROF from my spreadsheet.

Thankfully I didn't have anything out to them at the moment.

A seriously sour economy tends to take its toll on small businesses---certainly SF magazine publishing is a small business.

I'm not sure I ever submitted anything to Realms---they were fantasy and I usually write SF---but I submitted frequently to their long-gone sister SF magazine, what was it called? Science Fiction Age, I think...
