What about news agencies like cnn, fox, or even something like the daily show?

If the story is fiction and let's say dramatic events are happening. Do you have to make up your own news agency or can you use cnn, msnbc, bbc, and fox. Quick example: CNN just reported the meteor just struck 'Some city'.

This is something I should definitely know. Because I'm not sure where the line is on trademark.
