Hey everybody! I've recently gotten hooked on flash fiction, and in the past few weeks have written quite a few stories for various online contests. I've even won some (yay!).

I'm doing these contests as incentive to work on writing concisely and to get back in the habit of writing daily. And because they're fun.

Question: is what I'm doing ok? Is there anything imprudent about entering a bunch of little contests like this that I should be aware of?

I ask this because my Twitter following is growing, etc, and I don't want to do anything now to mess me up later. Thanks for helping me think through this.

I think it is fine. Just be aware that a small minority of contests are 'contests', that is, scams. If a contest appears from a market you are not familiar with, and they require a submission fee, I'd be very wary of it.
