I have been trying (in vain) to locate a copy of the article "Ender and Hitler" as well as OSC's response. My local library was unable to get it for me, and I can't find it on the Internet.

I understand that the subject may be sensitive, but largely I am interested in reading it because it sounds ludicrous. I also am very curious to see OSC's response to the article. I am in no way in accordance with Radford, but I have read a lot about the article, yet have not actually seen the article.

It's in one of the Contemporary Literary Criticism volumes, which most large libraries have in their refrence sections. It includes all of Card's response. It's the "CLC" books, and most volumes have a comprehensive index of other volumes, so you can just look up Card in the index and go from there.

I searched Google for the title of the article and then browsed the links it gave me. It's amazing how much free time people must have on their hands to come up with such blatant lies...it's unbelievable how willing people are to slander another's reputation for who knows what reason....it's just really sad, I couldn't believe it

I did a pretty extensive search, including Ender, Hitler, Card, Radford, and the title of Radford's article. I flat out don't think it's posted on the internet right now. If I can find a copy of it, I will definitely scan it or type it out for everyone.

Bah, ok, I think I may have found it. I found a couple of places that sell it, so I'll order it and try to make a copy of some kind that you all will be able to read
Unless, of course, OSC himself has a copy...

When someone has decided to hate an author, all his works suddenly become very bad or evil, on any pretext. One can only speculate on the agenda of the EW reviewer who just gave Magic Street a D.

I'm suprised the EW reviewer didn't mention Ornrey. Just about every negative review I've seen for it around the internet mention Card's articles at some point, as if the authors just can't manage to supress their real reasons for wanting to dislike the book.
I'm terribly curious about Radford's motivations. The whole idea of her article is just so ludicrous that the only thing I can figure it for was an attempt at publicity.
The way I see it, critics (including literary critics) are constantly trying to prove their worth by proving how much smarter they are than everybody else. If they only talk about things anybody can figure out, what purpouse do they serve?
So Radford, and others like her, venture out into the realm of grasping at straws, finding things no one else can find, not because Radford and her ilk are smarter, but because the things they're finding simply aren't there.
Radford's article is laughable. It's impression as a phantasmic article of legend is far more powerful than the silliness that is the article itself, which is why I don't hesitate to point people out to where to find it.
