Alright well a couple months ago, my best friend and I got matching Ender's Game tattoos that we both designed.
I read the book about 3 years ago and instantly fell in love with it. Last year I finally convinced my best friend to read it as well and the next thing I knew he had finished Children of the Mind lol.
Well I just wanted to post it and see what ya'll think! Enjoy!

What, you don't like tattoos of flaming skulls with bloody daggers sticking out of them, and a little scroll underneath that says "MOM"?

Ah no - I'm not so much for the flaming skulls - and to add "mom" to them is totally creepy in my opinion!
Besides, if you're going to decorate your body in such a permanent way, I think you should be creative and unique - otherwise it's just a fad and you might as well use "stick ons" so you can at least keep up with the crowd. ;-)

I'd love to see a picture of it, Libbie (or if it's in an area you aren't comfortable posting pictures of online, I'd love to read a description of it)!

You know, I just realized I really don't have any good shots of it (or of my older tattoo from 1999 - not related to any literature except the Book of Kells, but still awesome). But here are a few pics my husband took when I was having it done.
The tattoo itself, wrapped in plastic wrap! http://elksbugle.com/lol/tattoo09.jpg As you can see, it's the Black Rabbit, the movie version. I want to get El-ahrairah on my other ankle one of these days.
And just for fun, a shot of me being a total wimp during the tattooing! (I am wearing a white camisole under that sweater, although you can't really tell because of the light, so excuse me for kind of looking like Boobzilla here.) http://elksbugle.com/lol/tattoo07.jpgPosts: 1006 | Registered: Jun 2006

ohhh those will start up when the movie comes out and a bunch of kids just love it and think they don't need to read the books to understand it...
you know like Harry Potter, LOTR, or any piece of literature turned into film.
Don't get me wrong though...I think the movie is going to be awesome, but only because I have already read the books.
ANYWHO...yeah I'm totally getting the tat with Gothic writing, I might even draw up a picture of ender with his blue bandanna because he would definitely be a crypt hahaha

Wow. I've got a "The Enemy's Gate is Down" license plate frame and I've got a few Ender's Game t-shirts and was thinking I was a (relatively) hardcore fan. Now I realize I've got commitment issues!

That tattoo is amazing. Great design too. I totally forgot about the colors. I just assumed you'd make some weird dragon picture before I loaded it, but I like your idea much better.

On a side note, if anyone notices this post, (like I did,) when the Tappet brothers have a broadcast with "eight" listeners, that means I had the day off. ;-)
And I love the Dragon Army tat... Very classy and looks like something I've been thinking about doing. *Thumbs up.* Another likes it here.
