quote: And anyone who wants electronic help with spelling should check out ieSpell. I love it. Easy to download, add-on for Internet Explorer, and really easy and quick to use. Even catches most of my typos
Gah I HATE spell checks of all kinds. The majority of them tend to "catch" my name, and then suggest that maybe I meant Manure?

When people talk about me in a language I don't understand I like to think they're saying I'm the smartest, funniest, most hottest thing to sizzle fo'nizzle on Hatrack.
Please don't destroy this delusion by translating.
Okay, so you haven't got a clue who I am, but I'm Lissa's fellow sister in heresy. We're cool like that. Plus, my constant mocking keeps her humble - and we all know she needs it.
Hiya to you, too, Eduardo. Welcome to hatrack, both.

I'm not sure Tzadik knew I was a heretic, even by our special definition thereof...though really, if he hasn't guessed it by now...

But PB, this was intended as advice for absolute newbies, just the bare-bones essentials of getting around. The discernment required to distinguish the P from the B identities generally requires time to develop, and needn't be attempted at all the first few months. You know?

Hi Tzadik. I think I know of you by hearsay! Does your real name start with an "M"? Welcome to hatrack! This is the real gauntlet you have to run, you know. No pressure, or anything, though. Don't worry! You liked Ender's Game, so you must be a keeper.
And welcome, too, to Eduardo_Sauron! People from outside the U.S. are always particularly welcome, because we need a broader perspective. Welcome, welcome!
And both of you have excellent English. We will soon fix that problem! We will be bad examples and mix you up completely. But don't worry, the grammar nazis will then chime in and set everyone straight again.

Definitively English. You can easily find someone speaking a little English, which is enough to be understood.

For those who wonder, I just told to stop speaking anything else than English because it's easier to understand and be understood I also told that Babel tower is dangerous and that this forum is here for the comprehension between people.

People...let's stop arguing about Spanish and Portuguese (which is more beautiful, etc.), ok? Both are wonderful, rich languages, and powerful Latin offsprings.

Nobody's really arguing here . . . it's just a friendly rivalry. If it seems more heated than that, it's just because we know each other well enough to not take each other seriously on this issue. Nobody's getting mad, I promise.

to Rivka and Mrs.M:
Lissande is correct. I like it though, that's why I chose it.
Wow, this threat was rather active over the weekend! Impressive!

The first time ieSpell picks up anyone's name or sn, I simply click "Add" -- and then it will pick up when I mis-type it!
As I mentioned, I like your handle, Tzadik. Do you speak Hebrew? Or did you just happen to learn the word?

morning rivka, (at least it's morning here)
no, don't speak hebrew - i know words, phrases, learnt the alef-bejt, but that was about it - I can read the letters, but they don't form words for me I love the way hebrew sounds though!
So as far as picking up the handle - it was deliberate
Good to be back here, how's life?
