quote:don't forget Jawbreaker's sluttering. and accident prone. maybe not swoon worthy but damn good
Ben, I thought that the angst and bitterness of Sluttering (May 4th) was a little on the negative side of love. That being said, it is one of the best pieces of music ever. The palm muting is incredible, the word play that Blake employs in lines like:
quote:I'd saw through your wrist to find a better trap that fits. I'd saw through your traps to find a better you. A part of you that lasts.
I saw through your trap and into my own wrists. Saw we were through, red ribbons spill to blue: a sight to sore your eyes.
Just amazing.
As for Accident Prone, again is an amazing song with dense layers of guitars and great lyrics, it is more on the failure of the relationship.
I must comment that reading your posts has lead me to believe that you have some good taste in music.

So many songs... so much swooning... Thank you so much, sorry i did not post very many responces but it has been a crazy week.
Not only have you all insured that the radio show will be great, but you have introdused me to new artists that I intend to follow up on thank you!
I have about twice as much music as Im going to need, but better too much then not enough!
Some one asked what kind of radio station i worked at. It is a community station, so nether school or commerial. The station is: WFHB 98.1 or 91.3 FM And for those who care to lisen, it's from 5-6:30 Saterday. I believe you can lisen to it online too.
Something Different's "Songs That Make You Go Sigh... (or swoon)" show is bound to go well.
Once again thank you very much for all of the wonderful sugestions.

And gracefully fall back to the arms of Grace I am hanging on every word you say And even if you don't want to speak tonight That's alright, alright with me 'Cause I want nothing more than to sit Outside heaven's door and listen to you breathing Is where I want to be
I found all that I want, all that I longed for in You I found all that I want, all that I longed for in You Wasted time, is when I'm far from Your truth I've found all that I want, all that I long for in You
Spirit, come be my joy Spirit, come be my joy Be my song, fill my lungs
I wont need anything but YouPosts: 739 | Registered: Dec 2003

don't ask why, but this piece of orchestral music from canada's GY!BE makes my mind wander back to all of my previous relationships with a sense of longing...for better or for worse.
