Despite the words on the box, the new Strawberry Milkshake Pop Tarts are not "exceptionally delicious frozen". They are, in fact, supremely mediocre, and they are so sweet it was actually a little bit sickening.

Serves you right for eating pop tarts in the first place. American sweets are sugary to the point of nausea; you should avoid them at all costs.

In my opinion, no. I have now tried them frozen, toasted, and at room temperature, and they seem to be at their best at room temperature. Not that that's saying much.

Interesting variation on Ender's "Hey, we can't all be n*****s" comment, Jebus. I appreciate you reminding us all that racism comes in many forms, regardless of the race, whether or not it's a quotation, includes a specific epithet, or is followed by a wink.
[Edit -- even to make a point, I'm uncomfortable using that word. Hope nobody else was too offended.]

It's worth noting that my wink hopefully denoted the fact that I was poking Jebus, not actually insulting the Irish.
As Christy and I liked Ireland -- and its people -- enough to seriously contemplate moving there, and ultimately decided not to primarily because we didn't want to inflict our hopelessly American selves on an unsuspecting country, and as we've said as much on this forum, I didn't feel it was necessary to explicitly indicate that I in reality hold the Irish in high regard.
I am perfectly willing to play Devil's Advocate if the joke is good. *grin*

I did absolutely catch that fact, since I know Tom and digging well enough. And even if I didn't the comments only made me laugh anyway.
What I was doing, was making the generic racist comment (I hate Black people) to see if that would bring intervention from Pops. I just find the it interesting that a joking comment about Irish people will offend no one, but a joking comment about Black people is bound to offend someone (usually someone who is actually not black). Call it some kind of anthropology experiment and pretend I'm smart.
Or maybe it's jsut a big cover up for how hurt my feelings were. ::shrugs::

Eww... I hate poptarts. They so cardboardy and make me sick to my stomach every time I try to eat em. Eggo Waffles are so much better if you're gonna eat packaged crap for breakfast. Thinking about it, I suspect that you're used to the way Irishmen age. I'm sure after a decade or two of trundling bundles of rocks to and fro for your English overlords, you guys tend to age at three times the rate those of us in first world countries do. I mean, at 36 I can look forward to at least another three decades of being frisky, where I guess your average Irishman at 36 would be looking for the best place to hide his stash of Guinness before he keeled over.

And they have had plenty of experience with effete English frozen Pop Tarts.
I prefer to put butter on pop tarts, but only on the ones without iceing. It really takes down the sweetness. I don't eat them very often though, so I'm won't be at risk for heart disease by the time I'm 25.
