So* I've been really busy lately.. too busy to visit a lot with my old friends on Hatrack.

And it's not just the new job...

And it's not just the fact Civ IV is out...

Some of you might remember my "Curse my horrid little fingers" thread where I talked about how I was learning to draw. Well, I'm still not real good at it but I've been practicing my fingers off for the last 6 months or so and now I have something to show for it.

Without further ado, I give you my webcomic, Crossroads of Booger County. cobc.comicgenesis.com

The art is pretty shakey, but I'm slowly getting better. I hope you enjoy it and don't flame me too hard. =)

Some really funny-and-weird non sequiturs. I'm quite sure there's more going on here than I'm getting (I'm still trying to figure out what's actually happening in the third panel of the sitting-in-the-theatre one), but I did laugh out loud, which suggests that I'm sort of getting some of it, somehow, maybe.

(fangirl)OMG I made OSC laugh!!(/fangirl)

Thanks for reading it and saying such nice things, Scott =)

I would be interested in knowing what you found to be non sequitur. I haven't attempted to write something of this scope in almost 20 years. I have the story outlined, but I am too familiar with it to spot if something doesn't quite follow. I don't have many readers yet so I don't have anyone to scream at me if something doesn't fit.

As for the third panel of "Popcorn", Edward moved the popcorn so Liz's hand lands somewhere unexpected.

I shall now go back to squeeling at my hubby that someone I admire read my work.

well, i was going to say that i thought it was pretty funny and i liked it, but then i noticed that OSC himself replied to your post already and im really jealous... not sure if i want to compliment u or curse u! im slow, i had to read your comic twice to catch on to the whole moving the popcorn thing. tho i would have made the person he offers some to a younger looking persoin and a guy, to make it look like the character's friend. at first i thought that lady was either just a random person or that guy's mom. and who offer popcorn to ppl they dont know, or go see a movie with his gf, AND his mom!?! anyway, i laughed, and i would probably read further comics if u come out with any.

krynn: Maybe I shoulda put the link to the first comic instead of the main page =) then you'd know who the woman to his right was.

COBC page #1

But I sort of wanted to link to the latest update first since the art is better than page 1... The current page is page #27

I love it, Pix. You've got a good story going so far. It's very humorous. I like the whole magic thing and I'm interested to see where you take it.

Some hits, some misses, but the hits are REALLY good. I think I was laughing more at the SotL musical than at the crotch-grab.
