I appreciate everyone's input. You've all given me quite a bit to think about. I think I have a good direction on the story I want to write. Once again, it's not a Utopia story in any traditional sense. It's a milieu I think would be Utopian, but I don't plan to present it as such, per se. It's just gonna be what it is and my characters will have to deal with it.
Anyway, I'm starting NaNoWriMo tomorrow and I'm over the hump of my dilemma enough to at least get started. We can continue this thread if anyone is interested, but I won't be offended if it fades away.
