Ramses Emerson. Yummy.

I've also always liked Gollum a lot. And, oh, Aramis from The Three Musketeers, who is elegant.

My favorite written character is Paksenarrion, but the best-written ones I recall at the time are:

Gandalf
Wesley Windham-Price
Easy Rawlins
Andrew Wiggins

- Whatever character Chow Yun Fat is in whatever John Woo movie you're watching.

- HAL 9000 (doesn't have to be a PERSON, does it?)

Ooh...Second FitzChivalry. I was thinking aobut putting him on my list, but I couldn't decide between him and the Fool. I guess including both works.

I'm really in love with their relationship, though it got a little weird there at the end.

Although, the dog from Rugrats was also a good Spike.

Oh, I forgot! Firekeeper, from the 'Wolf' series by Jane Lindskold. I may have already said this, but I have really slow dial-up, and I don't want to fool with checking to find out.

I second John Corey, and nominate Ian Malcolm.

On film, I like Hoffman's Captain Hook, as well as Inigo Montoya, Dannny Ocean, Clementine Kruczynski, and Luke Skywalker.

Han Solo

I can't believe I'm the first to mention him.

Inna book, hmm: Nanny Ogg or Juan Rico (Pratchett & Heinlein respectively)

Han Qing-jao

So tragically flawed, and yet impossible not to love.

Though, FitzChivalry Farseer would be a good runner up.

I'd love to pick someone from Strange and Norrell, but honestly, how could you narrow one down? Besides the titular characters, there's the gentleman with thistledown hair, Childermass, John Uskglass, Vinculus--all fabulous characters.
