Oh, well, if they're asking questions about Ender's Game maybe I'd have a shot! I usually suck at trivia, though.

That's a crazy coincidence. I always thought I'd be lucky if I got like a Lord of the Rings category, but I think Ender's Game is more obscure.

That is the coolest category ever...you should let the Card's know!
:::::edited to note that I placed a topic on the other side linking to this thread, telling kacard about it. It's far more likely to be seen by the Cards over there.::::

I will eat my hat if there's actually an Ender's Game category.
Easy for me to say, since I don't wear hats, but still--it didn't even occur to me that pwiscombe might not be joking. I was kind of puzzled when I saw a bunch of people taking it seriously.

Very cool. It's a shame I wasn't a Hatrack member when I was on The Price is Right five years ago.

You know, I bet it would make a great movie, being on a game show where they give you obscure questions that coincidentally tally with obscure trivia that's played an important part in your life, perhaps in your love-life....I bet it would win an Oscar.
But seriously, is it to late to wish you luck? I mean, would we risk damaging the whole space time continuum?

That's a brilliant idea! I'll get right to writing the screenplay!
I think I'll base it in a third world country just to be artsy... Like Cambodia... the Oscar people will love that!

That's neat idea though -- we should make up questions for an Ender's Game category in this thread..
Someone in my family will be watching that day, I'm sure. They always watch Jeopardy. I'll be at work, however,

Ah, dang it. I was hoping the Ender's Game category was for real. That would have absolutely pushed the episode into a "I HAVE TO SEE IT!" category.

I had assumed you weren't joking because I have never seen you post before. There is alot of other people I would have been wary of saying something like that.
I also think I have to ake responsibility for the trail of believers after me.

I think there'd be some sort of unofficial shunning, rather than a banning, which would require numerous acts of humiliation and graveling in order to return to our favor.

So, graveling, is that like a road building thing, or a mortification of the flesh thing?

That was fun to watch. There was a scifi question nobody answered correctly. I wish I could remember what it was. That and the Lebanon Map question nobody could get drove me crazy. Still I bet if I went on I wouldn't be able to remember my own name. Peter answering that final Prime Minister question was awesome. Good job Peter. Can't wait to watch again in a week.

I KNEW Lebanon. But then had a brain-fart right after pushing the button.
And the most grief I am getting from anyone is from the science-fiction fans out there who can't believe that I didn't know "To Serve Man" I had never seen that Twilight Zone Episode.

I never actually saw "To Serve Man," but I was aware of it from this.
And my wife couldn't believe that your fellow contestant missed the daily double because she couldn't identify Albania. But my wife is Albanian, so it's probably not a fair comparison.
You did great, though. Can't wait to see it again next week.
