Good news: Samurai Jack is now streaming.

Bad news: just season one.

Also a slew of other Cartoon Network shows like Dexter's Lab and Ed, Edd and Eddy.

Hemlock Grove is Netflix's second in house produced show, and the first original production. As far as I'm concerned Netflix is two for two, I can't wait for their next project.

The show relies upon its ability to surprise the viewer so it is difficult to evangelize without ruining it. Just watch the first two episodes.

You will be hooked.

So I don't know if anyone's noticed, but they added The Avengers to netflix. Pretty awesome.

Also, I've been watching Rescue Me lately and while I am only on season 2, it's a pretty good show.

Aside from that, there's also the new Tron TV show for those interested.

The Fall, a taut British detective thriller, is now streaming on Netflix. It stars Gillian Anderson in a stunning performance. She's a strong-minded and clever Detective superintendent(?) who is sent to Belfast to help with a murder investigation. Turns out it's a serial killer.

Part of it is seen from the serial killer's POV, which is kind of disturbing because of how clueless the people in his life are. If there is one negative about it, to me, it would be that the killing scenes are filmed in the usual, vaguely titillating way that most shows with violence against women seem to prefer. I would hardly notice (it's so prevalent as to be almost universal), but after having seen how American Horror Story handles its violence against women, I notice it more.

AHS: Asylum, especially, managed to show violence against women as ugly, and the perpetrators of it as essentially broken. Since I saw that, I can't help but compare everything to it. So I guess that goes on my list of recs, too. Except it won't be on streaming until the fall.

The Man From Nowhere is as close to a perfect movie as I have ever seen.

The story, dialogue, locations, acting, shot direction, fight choreography and overall emotional peak of the movie are all amazing. I turned on yet another foreign action/martial arts movie with my tablet on my lap ready to ignore the flick whenever I found something more interesting online. By the half hour mark my elbows were on my knees and my eyes glued to the screen. It goes far and beyond what makes a beat'em up movie good, it is genuinely a good story all around.

Unfortunately there are some amazing movies that are no longer streaming that I just recently discovered missing. Lo, Ink and Moon. Three movies I love to refer people to, but can be hard to find without them streaming. Though I did find Ink on youtube in one full video so I could show my roommate.

I love ink, I actually keep a copy of it on my mp3 player so I always have a movie with me if I get bored. I plan to watch The Man From Nowhere tonight. I've been on a Korean movie kick of late.

OK, watched The Man From Nowhere, definitely a first class action movie. I still can't put it ahead of Oldboy and Castaway on the Moon as my favorite but slots into a very strong third. Next up on my Korean movie exploration, A Bittersweet Life and I'm a Cyborg but That's OK.

This is the only one I've seen and I loved it. I never read the comics, though. Give it a shot and see if it changes your opinion.

I can't stand the effect of motion comics. I think it ruins the original art, and it is beneath the potential of the digital artists and animators that convert it.

Burn Notice season six is out now.

Burn Notice peaked at the end of Season 2. And the show that started in 2007 was basically over around season 4/5. The conflict is still related to the first season, but I just don't care any more.

I wish marvel would take a page out of DC's book and start making high quality direct to video cartoon adaptations of their biggest comic stories. I would LOVE to see some X-Men or Spiderman movies that allow themselves to be a bit more hardcore than the live action films or the kids cartoon shows.

Maybe one day.

I just watched The Fall (show). It's pretty good.

Also, the recent Judge Dredd movie got added. I really dug the first two thirds of that movie.

Dredd was excellent. Supposedly it didn't earn that much in the box office. However, word of mouth has been great, and it's budget wasn't that much. Hopefully it eventually gets a sequel.

if you liked Judge Dredd, check out The Raid. It might be the most violent movie you'll ever see.

I was so sickeningly happy with Dredd, that when I told my roommate about I watched it a second time.

The end of Fringe is streaming.

Battle Royale 1 and 2.

The first three seasons of Archer if you haven't gotten on that bandwagon yet.

Has anyone watched that new Netflix show Derek? I would appreciate a review seeing as I have no interest but Netflix has done well so far and I want to see it continue.

The Italian Job, 2003.

Missed it all those years ago. Definitely a fun movie.

The references to Napster seem SO outdated though. I wish film makers would anticipate this sort of thing!

Dresden Files, if it's still on Netflix. I had read a few of the books and enjoyed them, so I approached it with a positive attitude. It wasn't super, super fantastic, but it was a lot of fun. As I keep working my way through the books I find myself wishing Jim Butcher would develop the Bob character along the lines the t.v. show did.

The Americans Season 2 is up on Amazon Prime (wrong thread).

Still waiting for the next season of Orphan Black, though I've already spoiled myself silly on this one (I've been good for the Americans, so SHHH). Also Archer #5.

Hi Marek...

Our family also loves Frasier, Friends (not when our kid is in the room tho), & 30 Rock (and sometimes Raymond).

Our other go-to shows are The Office (US), Parks & Rec (Amy Poehler!!) and The Andy Griffith Show.

Inadvertent double post.

So as long as I'm here...Kimmy Schmidt is awesome for a sitcom.

And I love House of Cards (my husband is appalled. I don't know why he is so surprised, given season 1. But whatever)

I'm sure both shows have been mentioned multiple times...but, you know, inadvertent double post. I feel like I need to say something.
